"First I’ll address the driveway.It’s steep, just as described in the description as well as comments. Our 4WD vehicle went up just fine but our other vehicle did not. It stayed safely parked at the bottom of the driveway. Some could consider that an inconvenience however definitely not a ruined vacation, especially considering all this beautiful property has to offer. This cabin is fully stocked! "I can't begin to describe how peaceful and beautiful this property is. The photos of the inside do not do the home justice. This property was crafted by the owners and they paid attention to every little detail. Exposed beams, a huge back porch, and even a ramp for our old, lame dog! The grounds are beautiful and, most importantly, PRIVATE. We did not see another soul on the property the whole time we were there. I loved walking the trails with my dog and sitting on top of the hill...

"It is a perfect place with a wonderful view and very quiet. We never had such a clean place before."

"We enjoyed time with our extended family over the Labor Day holiday.The lodge was large enough to accomadate all of us, numbering 20, comfortably.The fire pit was great for us and the neighborhood was quiet, the woods around the house secluded.The host, John, was very helpful and available. We would rent there again if the family decides to return to the area."

"The cabin was great - very peaceful, clean, dog-friendly, and conveniently located. It's up a mountain road and set back in the woods a bit, which made it quiet. The driveway was slightly steep but our AWD SUV didn't have any problems with it. The cabin had a nice vibe and we sat outside in the rocking chairs quite a bit.We did several activities within 20-45 mins from the cabin which I would recommend:- Blue Ridge Parkway- Grandfather Mountain- Lynn Cove Viaduct- Cone Manor- Bass Lake Trail-...

"This was a great place to stay. Older, but still so charming and very clean. Close to the resort. Loved the hot tub and had plenty of room for our group. The porch is a perfect place to sit in the breeze. Would totally stay here again! "

"Host was great, location was perfect and the house exceeded our expectations. Gated community on the mountain side is a short drive to the Banner Elk hot spots. We will be back in the fall for sure!!"
