"The location is wonderful to get around to several shops and museums and we ate at Dobbins restaurant one evening and lunch at their tavern. The Gettysburg battlefield tour bus meeting place was literally across the street. The staff was very nice and said we could stay parked during our bus tour which was nice the bus tour place had plenty of parking as well. After the bus tour we ate some lunch outside on the picnic tables offered by the Cemetery Hill Inn. We had a nice room & the king size...

"It seems that when booking with a travel site such as Expedia you are assigned to a less desirable room location-near elevators or ice machines for example. The room itself was fine."

"1865 was unique due to the area because you were in walking distance to many places near by. And a short driving distance as well. They offer a wonderful breakfast, not usually bacon but 2 kinds of meats like pork sausage and a smoked sausage or ham, always 2 types of eggs, I liked the scrambled eggs. Fruits, breads, pastrys. Juices, coffee, water, hot chocolate. Applesauce, cottage cheese etc. The water pressure is usually low in most places. But clean and helpful staff, they have a outside...

"This is a beautiful 18th century mansion where you feel like you’re staying in the museum yet comfortable enough to wanna stay forever. Dan and his wife greet you at the door. They are so nice. They make a breakfast in the morning that is to die for. This place comes highly recommended and I can’t wait to go back."

"The motel was really dated. Didn’t feel like it was very clean as the sinks were rusty, shower & toilet were not much better. Wouldn’t have stayed here if I hadn’t prepaid. Lesson learned! The breakfast was decent but I would’ve paid for breakfast for a more updated stay. Wouldn’t recommend!"

"I would not use Expedia again , I got a subpar room, not clean , bed was shoved up against the wall. The staff in the beginning said the room was because I used Expedia . Well I don't know if that is correct but for the $425 I paid a night I won't go back there."

"Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."
