"When I checked in the staff was gone for the day and left my room key at the office mailbox.
The room smelled overpoweringly of cleaning supplies and the smoke detector was chirping every minute.
The property issued a refund, which I will give them credit for, but the room smelled too powerfully to stay there.
Might be a better property during the tourist season when more people are staying there."

"Great location in Eastham near Orleans. Surf Shack Hideaway is not a shack, but rather a very large uncomfortable house to stay in. Would come back again, especially if managed by Heart of the Cape who kept everything clean and had quick communications."
