ABOUT COLGATE LAKE LODGE
This Beautiful, Custom Built, 3000 sq ft Real Deal Log Home on 5+ Private Acre Estate with year round mountain views is walking distance to Colgate Lake & 7 miles to Hunter Mtn and 10 to Windham. This home boosts a stunning massive timber frame constructed great room with huge log beams and soaring 25’ ceilings, consisting of gourmet kitchen, dining and living areas with a custom built, four sided rock column (not cultured stone) & gas fireplace.

There are three (3) beautifully appointed bedrooms each with their own style and elegance and three (3) bathrooms of which one includes a Jacuzzi Tub.

The Billiards Rooms, includes a beautiful solid oak bar, 8’ Brunswick pool table, 8-person professional leather card table, in addition to a 2nd living room & 2nd kitchen & dining area.

You will find covered decks on both the front & back of the house including more seating space. The front deck includes deep cushioned sunbrella couch & chairs and the rear deck includes a dining table and a propane gas grill where you can BBQ year round rain or shine. The deck leads out to gorgeous Hot Tub and backyard also includes a fire pit. Or if you are feeling competitive, play volleyball, football or toss a frisbee one of our many massive green lawns!

You will marvel at the 8’ Alaskan Brown Bear, take selfies by the resident (fake) calf located outside the barn, and get a giggle out of our “Cow” themed Billiards Room. All done for your enjoyment & pleasure!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Colgate Lake Lodge is a tranquil private estate perfectly situated for all seasons! Hunter Mountain (7 mi.) and Windham Mountain (10 mi.) are super close and offer up non-stop action year round. In the summer time Zip Line, Mountain Bike and all kinds of Festivals and the winter's offer world class Skiing & Snowboarding, including snow tubing.

Colgate Lake, a gorgeous, pristine fresh water mountain lake with breathtaking landscape is just a short walk from the house! Swim, kayak (we provide 2!), picnic or just float and watch the clouds go by.

The house is also just 4 minutes to the charming “painted town” of Tannersville featuring unique shops, great restaurants and fun bars. 20 minutes to Phoenicia and 25 minutes to Woodstock. There is plenty to do so no fret of being bored!

THE GREAT ROOM

As one steps into this home, you cannot help but be awestruck by the massive, timber framed great room. The natural beauty of stone and wood come together magnificently with the huge center stone column, cathedral ceilings and massive exposed wood beams. You will also find great attention paid to lighting with beautiful fixtures, lighting and lamps of all kinds found throughout the house and exterior.

THE KITCHEN/DINING AREAS

The spacious Gourmet Kitchen includes gorgeous granite counters tops and every accessory & tool needed to cook any gourmet meal...full place settings for 10, Calaphon cookwear set, 12 Cup Cuisinart Coffee Maker, bean grinder, slow cooker, mixer, Wusthof Knife block, Cuisinart Toaster and so much more! Adjacent dining area with imported, oversized Spanish tiles includes a massive, gorgeous 9 ft custom made dining table that can easily accommodate 16 very comfortably. There are huge Anderson glass sliders in the dining room that lead out to a large covered deck, including another dining table, where you can dine al fresco and BBQ year round using a propane gas grill. There is also another covered porch off the front of the house including three gorgeous Sunbrella Wicker Chairs (one love set, two chairs) with super comfy 6” cushions.

THE LIVING AREA

The Living Room is also part of the Great Room and includes a comfy U-shaped Raymour & Flanigan leather couch & sleeper sofa and two Barcalounger Leather Recliners. Relax and watch 100+ cable TV channels, listen to music using our Sirius Satellite Radio, and watch the glow of the fire!

THE BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS

This 3 bedroom/3 bath home sleeps 10 very comfortably all with heads on beds! Each room is meticulously clean and beautifully decorated and include outstanding framed photography from the areas natural wonders found nearby. The majority include massive log beams and each includes high thread count linens, super comfy feather pillow tops, topped with lush Ralph Lauren comforters, plenty of pillows and over sized bath towels supplied.

The main floor features a very large Master Suite (BR #1) with a king size bed, chaise lounge & reading light, ensuite bathroom and Jacuzzi Tub (sleeps 2). The other bedroom (BR #2) includes a twin trundle that pulls out to make a king and also another regular size twin and pull out twin underneath (sleeps 4). The final bedroom (BR #3) has a queen size bed (sleeps 2). There is also a sleeper sofa in the living area (sleeps 2).

There is something for everyone to do!

** Winter – The house is perfectly situated to access New York’s finest downhill skiing/snowboarding/snow tubing - Hunter Mountain is just 7 miles away & Windham is 15. You can walk to the snowmobile rental place and sledding hill! There is also a cross country ski resort just five minutes away.

** Spring/Summer/Fall – This time of year offers unlimited possibilities... Colgate Lake, a gorgeous, pristine fresh water mountain lake with breathtaking landscape is just a short walk from the house! Swim, kayak or picnic or just float and watch the clouds go by. Hike & bike right from our front door. The marked hiking trail system in the area is amazing! We include maps at the house that will enable you to explore some pretty cool spots. The closest and probably the best in the area are within two miles of the house - Kaatterskill Falls (highest waterfall in the state), North Lake/South Lake (offers swimming, boat rentals i.e. kayaks, canoes, row boats, fishing and amazing hiking!), The Escarpment Trail, the former home of the Catskill Mountain House, an abandoned (but restored!) train station and more. Visit Hunter Mountain and try out their new ZIPLINE system, mountain bike down their trails (lift serve access) or enjoy a relaxing ride on their sky ride (chair lift). They also have a host of music concerts year round. There is also a plethora of golf courses to choose from, driving range/miniature golf, horse back riding, fly fishing, tubing the Esopus River, paint ball, wineries, festivals, Catskill Game Farm, Howe Caverns and so much more...

** Antique and Art Lovers - You'll find treasures galore with Woodstock, Saugerties, Tannersville, Catskill (Thomas Cole House) and Hudson all within close proximity. A wide-array of classes and activities are available to children, teens and adults at Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts.

** Relaxation - Colgate Lake Lodge provides plenty of indoor & outdoor private, cozy spots to relax & unwind.
