"The view from the hotel is spectacular. Inside the room and corridors the decor is dated and shabby. The bathroom taps were grubby with grime and difficult to turn. No bottled water in the room and next to no soundproofing between rooms, especially bathrooms. The fire doors in the corridor banged when shutting. "Bed was not comfy as we had backache after second night , we turned mattress round was ok that night but the after that . The step into the shower was too high and we had to buy a step to get in it and also the floor surface was very slippy . Was ck an and tidy and overall not a bad place to stay and would recommend and return at some point "

"I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. "Our room was clean and comfortable but showing its age. Although it had been freshened up, the TV was quite old and picture quality was SD when these days one might expect HD. Similarly the light above the bathroom mirror was not even LED and when we found the pull cord it was dim and and only illuminated several years of dust. The bed was very comfortable. "So close to the beach and all amenities and right next door to The Pavillion where we were going that evening. The room was just right though small and compact. The bed very comfortable so got a good nights sleep. It was all very clean which was fab. Lovely tasty breakfast. The parking was difficult as so busy but everything else made up for it! Would definitely visit again."

"Hotel close to pedestrian crossing to promenade and beach. Bar/restaurant very good. Lovely single room with a double size bed. Easy access to room via lift and through fire doors. Staff and especially Reception Staff were absolutely lovely. "

"We paid extra for a gold room with a sea view, unfortunately it meant we could hear all the evening entertainment in the pub below which went on till late. (We heard every word through the microphone, including bingo and karaoke singing) Unfortunately the hotel staff couldn't do anything about, although they did try. Had we paid less and had a smaller room higher up it probably would have been better which is a shame. But it was great to have the beach so close out the front door. "
