"The view from the hotel is spectacular. Inside the room and corridors the decor is dated and shabby. The bathroom taps were grubby with grime and difficult to turn. No bottled water in the room and next to no soundproofing between rooms, especially bathrooms. The fire doors in the corridor banged when shutting. "I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing) The food is top notch and very affordable. "Bed was not comfy as we had backache after second night , we turned mattress round was ok that night but the after that . The step into the shower was too high and we had to buy a step to get in it and also the floor surface was very slippy . "So close to the beach and all amenities and right next door to The Pavillion where we were going that evening. The room was just right though small and compact. The bed very comfortable so got a good nights sleep. It was all very clean which was fab. Lovely tasty breakfast. The parking was difficult as so busy but everything else made up for it! The day we were to arrive we got a message from the hotel to say that they were undergoing renovations and they would refund us for our breakfast charges and give us a free to-go breakfast one day. Annoying as we have a very picky eater and the buffet is a main reason we booked Premier Inn.
