"Excellent hostel! I stayed in the Court - I’m a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I woke often as people were coming and going at all hours of the night. Disturbances would likely be less in the other rooms. The facilities, social aspect of the hostel and the staff were top notch! They have activities each day to connect you with others. As a solo traveller, it was incredible and more reason to stay in a hostel. Price was great for Edinburgh and the location cannot be beat!"

"The location is excellent and the staff were friendly, but the property itself was disappointing for the price paid. At around £120 per night, I would expect a much better-maintained facility. The rooms and common areas feel dated and would greatly benefit from a facelift and modernization. Nothing was terrible, but the overall condition does not match the price point charged.

"All good. Been before and will be back."

"From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty in the stunning castle. Our bags were immediately taken to our room in the tower, reservations for dinners, suggestions for hikes and exploring and help with arrangements for our departure in a couple days. Breakfasts were phenomenal and top notch. Breakfast was delivered to our room on the day of departure at 4:30am and our bags taken back down to our rental car. The spa experience was exceptional. The pool, sauna and steam room were...
