"Location is walking distance to the Ferry, and the views are very scenic. Our particular room was located on the first floor of an older two story quad unit. It lacked adequate sound proofing allowing us to hear every foot step, luggage roll, toilet flush, etc…, resulting in an extremely poor nights sleep. Word to the wise ~ request a second floor room! Recommend the hotel have an additional attendant to help keep the breakfast items replenished, many items were cleared out and not replaced."

"A hotel that delivers exactly what it promises: comfort, excellent location, and the brand’s consistent standards. It’s not a particularly memorable experience, but it meets expectations very well for a Grand Hyatt. In the absence of an affordable breakfast option at the hotel, I ended up discovering some of the many great cafés in the area."

"This hotel is a total time capsule from the 80s! The views from the rooms onto Oyster Bay are beautiful and serene. The room and lobby looked straight out of 1982 and were exceptionally well maintained. Sitting in the lobby I had flashbacks to being a kid and waiting at a doctor's office in the 80s, complete with stereo strings on the muzak lol. I was amazed at what a throwback it was. If you want a modern look in your hotel, this is not for you - it has the thick pile carpet, the floral...

"Excellent location and view of harbour.
You are right on the water and there is a ton of boat action.
Food really good and friendly staff.
Lots of fees and taxes added to your nightly room charge that surprised us.
Very walkable to pike market .
Conveniently beside the clipper if coming from Victoria."
