"Everything was excellent with high standards, as usual - we have stayed many times before. Only small problem was the old fashioned cistern on the toilet - my wife couldn't reach the high, short chain to pull! Room 218."

"I stayed at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Hotel for nearly two weeks, which gave me a very complete perspective of the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, making it pleasant for a longer stay. However, the hotel was undergoing renovations during my visit, which unfortunately impacted the overall experience. "Spa facilities poorly maintained wood splitting in sauna, no steam room very small pool and small dirty changing facilities. Inadequate gym facilities literally 1 treadmill Old dirty carpet and room smelled old. Tv was inadequate old 1st generation TV. Terrible WiFi signal Reception staff friendly but catering staff not. No food available after 9.30pm no amenities or facilities around to overcome this. Would not recommend staying unless just going to specifically play golf"

"Good location, cosy room"

"Very comfortable and clean room, helpful staff and within walking distance to the town."

"Lovely rooms with streaming in the tv Nespresso coffee always a plus. Usual amenities, good food offer & reasonably priced. Highly recommend, lovely area with a local village store & post office which is great"

"The hotel is a lovely old pub & breakfast is good. Our room was hot & thought needs to be given to improving the fans in the room. There are a couple of free, open 24 hours car parks within a 2-4 minutes walk. It's old so floors are uneven and there are a lot of half steps."

"The staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I did not eat at the hotel so can not comment on the food. It is a very old hotel located in an excellent area. The car park is only a two minute walk from the hotel and easy to find (I phoned prior to my arrival and was given excellent directions by a friendly member of staff). The hotel is definitely in need of a refurbishment but this did not detract from my stay. I would certainly stay again."
