"The pools were lovely, staff were helpful and friendly. We ate at the main restaurant once, was ok but could use updating. The pool bar food was good breakfast was super. Housekeeping very friendly and did a nice job. The area is quiet vs. the hustle and bustle in town but it's a short 20 min golf cart ride to town. "The property itself is beautiful, but the experience was overshadowed by extremely poor communication from the staff. I paid them to arrange local flights, yet they failed to provide any information afterward. After I arrived in Belize, I tried calling again with no response. I ended up messaging them on WhatsApp from the airport, unsure whether I needed to purchase a new plane ticket or not.

"From the time we were picked up at the airport until the time they dropped us back off, everyone at the Alaia was top notch. Our room was amazing, the pools were really clean and not crowded, the food was good and service was really great.
Honestly, I have nothing below great to say about any aspect of the resort.
If you are scheduled excursions, make it easy and use the resort as there is minimal savings to search it somewhere else.

"I have never stayed at a small resort like this before and I was a little concerned. But by day two all of my worries were gone. The employees are very nice and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and prices weren't out of line. Would definitely stay here again!"
