"My wife and I stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. We didn’t make use of the amenities so I am not able to comment on them. The term “Resort” is a little misleading however as for hotel accommodation, it is good. While a little dated, the Methven Resort has all that is needed for a comfortable stay. "Entire lodge was spotless and everything was there we needed. Only issue was the noise. And probably this was due to other guests not being considerate. Our bedroom was below TV room. Noise from TV. People dropping things and talking was easily heard. The worse thing was banging doors when guest went in and out. One guest put an object in door entrance to keep door from closing and chatted on mobile ph. It was very noisy when guests opened or closed bedroom doors and lodge entrance doors. ...

"Room appeared to have been recently redone. Small garden was beautiful. After hours key drop was convenient. Staff helpful. Room was in excellent condition and very comfortable. Kitchenette was more than adequately stocked for two people. We were worried about noise as our room was closest to a main road near a railway. The traffic did not keep us awake. Other rooms were more distant from the traffic. Definitely recommend as a comfortable place to stay in Ashburton."

Half an hour later 4 customer waiting the lady finally arrived. Not a good look. There was 2 of us stay for 3 nights.
