The room was not as clean as expected, and there was a noticeable smell of marijuana coming from the staff/room area, which made the stay uncomfortable. The pool was also not open when we first arrived. Additionally, our room door did not work properly, and maintenance had to replace the battery before we could access the room. The space was clean, but other than that, for the price, felt cheap and uncharming. The light fixture above the bathroom sink used spotlights inexplicably, which made getting ready very strange. "This was a perfect getaway weekend! The lodge is in a remote area, which is so quiet. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a boat ride with the owner, Gary, and just walking around the village.Peggy stayed in touch with me throughout the time before our visit as well as during the visit even though she was not able to be there for the weekend. Debbie was our hostess and she was wonderful! The lodge is so unique and comfortable."
