The house is huge and had everything we needed. We had 3 families with young children and we all slept well, felt safe and made amazing family memories. If you are looking to get away and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of nature, or if you enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and everything outdoors, this place is for you! Sharing this experience with my 3 teenage kids, I never heard once that they didn’t have anything to do. They loved it here and the amenities were everything we needed! "

"Cutest little house in the woods. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars, and the very comfortable bed. It was quiet and relaxing in this home, and it was so nice to have the essentials provided (like coffee, sugar, creamer, garbage bags, paper towels, detergent). Very close to the brewery, and to the center of town. "

"Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful property on a secluded lot with pleasant views of woods and mountains all around. For two people, there is more than enough space for anything you are likely to want to do. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked and the furniture is all wet comfortable.About a 12-minute drive into the center of Berkeley Spring, and about 25 minutes to Cacapon State Park. Highly recommended."

"The rental was absolutely beautiful and it had everything you needed. It was so peaceful sitting around the campfire in the evenings watching the sunsets. Very clean rental and we can't wait to rent this again. "

It rained all day on one day of my stay, but even that was delightful: I sat on the porch in a comfortable chair and read a book, while listening to the rain. "Bear's Retreat was the perfect getaway spot to explore the Raystown Lake area and spend quality time with family and friends in absolutely stunning surroundings. The house itself was definitely spacious enough for a large group and was enjoyed by all, from blowing bubbles on the deck with a 5 yr-old after a day swimming with fish at Tatman's Run Beach to a 62 yr-old hustling everyone else at pool in the rec room. Having a second fridge in the kitchenette in rec room was a huge plus for a large...

" The cottage was clean, comfortable, uncluttered, and well furnished. We enjoyed the view of the mountains to the east and exploring the area."

"This cabin was clean and supplied everything that was needed! The kitchen was stocked and the bathroom supplied shampoo, conditioner, soap and bath towels. The beds were very comfortable! Our dogs loved running in the backyard and us humans enjoyed laying in the hammocks! I would stay here again!"

"It was an amazing cozy cabin with a great wooded view. Very clean and well kept. We absolutely loved out time here and will be returning next year."
