We were scheduled to stay for 2 weeks. Day 3 I contacted VRBO. The beds in this unit are horrible, definitely at the end of their usable life. The host provided a mattress topper to "fix" the problem. You canāt fix a dead mattress with a foam topper. VRBO staff came and saw how bad the mattresses were, they thought the sheets were bunched up under the quilt. Nope, thatās lumps and sags and bumps inside the mattress. They couldnāt contact the owner, and then lied and told us the mattresses were fine. On day 7 we had to scramble to find new lodging, had to double pay for one night bc VRBO delayed us in confirming the amount of refund they were offering bc it was the weekend and they didnāt have access to the right systems. What? Thatās crazy! She said she was grocery shopping and would let me know the amount of the return when she got home then never did. I wonāt even mention that the dishes, utensils, glassware etc were filthy. Dried on food and beverage particles. Highly recommend working with Compass Vacations who have an office at the property. They were kind, professional, and got us into a different unit for less than VRBO was charging. Save your backs and your money. Donāt book unless you have 100% proof that the mattresses are new and the cleaning crew replaced. If I could attach photos here, youād be shocked! Travelers beware!
