"The hotel is not in an ideal area for families. Our room had a smoke smell even though the hotel is non-smoking. The room did not look as though it was thoroughly cleaned. There were unhoused people outside at night. Would not recommend for a family trip like we had. We booked 2 rooms in the same order and were initially given rooms in 2 different floors. We had to ask for rooms closer to each other. We were told there may not be many rooms left but the parking lot was empty. Looks like a hotel...

"There was a couple of people directly above our room that decided to have a fight in their room just before midnight. We were both waken by this disturbance. It settled down quickly, so we figured someone called it in. Not sure if we will stay here again."

"We were excited to visit the Avon Inn and it exceeded our expectations. It is a delightful hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was big, with a comfortable bed and in room gas fireplace. The co-owner Jen was lovely to speak to and the history of the hotel is fascinating. Special shoutout to the awesome pool table in the lobby - it is an awesome statement piece and a great use of the space to socialize being right next to the restaurant. "Very friendly proprietors, helpful in giving tips for the area. Room was clean and comfortable and the house very nice. Breakfast was very nice and I appreciated having coffee and snacks available all day. Very good experience."
