"The property was very nice. There is a wood stove which was very nice and the beds were great. The downstairs bath tub did not work. No flexibility with check in or check out times at all. I felt the background check was violating my privacy and not sure i trust them with a picture they can use to open my apps "

"What a charming, cozy place! Well-run, clean, and fun. The location is nice and central to Whidbey, with short 10 minute drives to lots of great places on the island. And all the gnomes and the forest trail on property make this one of the most delightful vacation rentals our family has stayed in. Would love to come back and use it as a home base again on a future trip!"

"The house was very nice. It isn't evident from the photos, but it's a duplex unit comprising half of a house, separated from the other half by double-locking doors. The rooms were spacious and the view can't be beat! You are situated right on the waterfront. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the marine traffic heading to Seattle. "Owners were very communicative, easy to work with, and everything worked as they said. College buddy and I used it as a place to crash in between golf rounds at Dungeness, White Horse, and Port Ludlow. "We had never been to this area and the house was the perfect home base to use to explore the area. There’s a lot of beaches and state parks to enjoy on the island and we also explored the area’s other features including Port Townsend and wineries/cideries. The only glitch was we were given a wrong code for the door, but that was quickly solved. Communication with management was great! The price was so good that we took it with kind of low expectations. "Whidbey House was a lovely property. A real home from home. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the visits from the deer and rabbits. Rick was very responsive with a couple of queries that we had. Freeland was a great base for exploring Whidbey Island, explore off the beaten track a little and you will find some real gems, we can recommend Island Art Glass, for some beautiful glass work. If we were staying in the area again, we would love to return to Whidbey House."

"Perfect spot to stay while attending Peninsula College Graduation ceremony! Centrally located to all the fun the PNW has to offer. Clean, very well appointed, quiet and easy to communicate with Hosts/Management Company. Will re-book for sure on future visits!"
