Escape to Corolla and enjoy some relaxation in this wonderful Oceanside Beach retreat. You will love the location in a quiet cul-de-sac, just three lots back from the beautiful sandy beach. This home is conveniently located near a direct Beach Access with no roads to cross. The community also boasts a private tennis court for your use.

This well-equipped and comfortable, beautifully decorated home in Ocean Sands is the perfect family vacation spot. From the community beach access to the local shops and restaurants nearby, there is no shortage of things to do to keep your whole family happy. Section F in Ocean Sands.

The Private 12x26 Swimming Pool is sure to be a hit after spending the day on the Beach & the Hot Tub is perfect if more relaxation is needed.

This vacation home is where you, your family, and your pet (dogs only- max 2) will want to relax and enjoy spending quality time, by the sea!

This property needs closed up until the owner fixes everything. Giant hole in downstairs bathroom .

I loved the location. The property is owned by a “slum lord”. Refused to fix hole in bathroom. Dirty. Screens broken. Cobwebs and spiders. Microwave sparked when we turned it on. Refrigerator leaks. Filthy outside of fridge rusty. Piles of junk and broken furniture around pool. Carpet filthy. Pillows stained yellow. Nightmare😩

Exactly what we expected

The house was accurately described and depicted. I read a handful of reviews that complained of the cleanliness and damages. While obvious that this house needs some upgrades and repairs, it still had everything we needed and worked just the way we needed. The ceiling on the first floor was wrecked and there were towel racks and shower bars missing but the location was unbeatable. We drove on the beach a few days and walked to the beach near the house a few days. Would 100% stay here again. We had an issue with the AC one day for a few hours and the maintenance department was on top of it and so communicative. Overall any concerns with this house are superficial and cosmetic at most.

Amazing location!

We had a great week! The proximity to the beach is amazing!! The house could use some updates, but it was very comfortable! The furniture was nice and comfortable, but some of the the bed’s mattress’ could use replacing. There’s a grocery store within minutes. The cleanliness wasn’t the best. They might want to consider a different cleaner. Be sure to bring plenty of trash bags, toilet paper for 3 restrooms, paper towels, bed sheets, pillow cases, and dishwasher soap, because none of that’s provided.

Dirty and needed repairs

The house was dirty and needed many repairs even the pool need repairs. Took pics as per the property management and sent them in so i wouldn't be held responsible. Dishwasher broke but was replaced quickly. The kitchen and bathrooms all needed to be updated. But it was in a good spot close to the beach.

Great location

We loved that we could bring our dog. There were some issues that need to be fixed with the sliding doors, screens, curtain rod and some bathroom towel rods, but overall the location made up for most of these issues.

House wasn’t clean when we arrived which was upsetting and I didn’t realize sheets and towels weren’t included in our price. Location was perfect, Beach was amazing but pool and hot tub need a little work. Property management company was understanding and helped us with our needs

Overall very good

The location was excellent, the house overall was good although the hot tub needs to be fixed as only 1 set of jets worked. I highly suggest a better cleaning crew as one of the bedrooms had a dirty baby diaper under it and a cup with something that's smelled terrible in it under another bed. Over all experience was very good. We love the OBX

Family Time

Great location! Property is in need of a little TLC. It is pretty well stocked with everything you need. There is a nice big table for games and puzzles and comfy couches. Curtains and homey touches would be a plus. The refrigerator was disgusting when we got there. And there were ants. Overall cleanliness other than that was fine. The hot tub jets did not really work very well. The pool was great! The laundry room was little sketchy but functional once you find it. It was a family vacation for us with pets. There were 5 of us. Overall we had a great time And I would stay here again because of the location and The pet friendly. There are some grassy areas to walk your dogs along.

Needs work but great location

We have been coming to OBX for over twenty years from Virginia Beach and are very familiar with how property rentals work. We rented this house after debating on making the annual trip this year (Covid) so there were not many properties available that fit what we needed on shorter notice. I feel it is easy to tell the difference between someone’s beach house they love and rent to offset some expense, and an investment property the owner doesn’t want to have to put any money into. Guessing this one is the latter. Some basic upkeep and maintenance would make this house a much much more comfortable property. Pros: We are fortunate enough to be able to rent a beach house for a week with our family, therefore we had an amazing time! Short walk to the beach and close to Corolla stores and restaurants Pool is essential for the kiddos. Doggy friendly! Cul de sac is nice and quiet and the view is nice considering it’s not directly oceanfront. Problems addressed quickly after property manager was informed (day after check in) Cons: The condition of the house makes it appear dirty. During a pandemic, it’s not exactly relaxing. Owner doesn’t pay for beds to be made or provide linens and towels, so having to hunt for those things then make five beds upon arrival was no fun. Especially bunk beds. Maybe at least set appropriate bedding on the beds they belong to? Places we’ve stayed before have had little details that make it nice, like board games for the kids, DVDs, extra blankets, etc. This place had a few things, but again, maybe were purchased around 15-20 years ago. A coat of paint and a deep clean would really make this place happy. So much potential!!! We still had a great time because OBX is a beautiful part of the world and being able to rent a beach house for a week with my family doesn’t suck.

House needs major renovations, especially on outside-siding and parts of roof missing (was pointed out to us by neighbors to our left)-top deck a little creaky and updating needed inside but we enjoyed ourselves and location was great.

Great location to ocean, but needs updating

I give 2 stars for the location and 1 for the pool. This property seemed clean, but it needs so many updates that it appears dirty. There has been no time, effort or money put in the painting, decor, deck maintenance, patio furniture, etc. the twin beds are uncomfortable, but the queens are fine. The carpet and walls are stained. Fingerprint and smears all over the windows. The pool is great, but it needs repaired. This could be an amazing house if a little TLC and maintenance was invested.

The property was in a nice location and had nice amenities like pool and hot tub. The house was under some construction during our stay, so we did find some nails on the ground, that we had to remove to avoid injury to our dog.

Major updates needed

House location was excellent. Needed walk way from house to the main boardwalk to the beach. There were not enough comforters or blankets for all the beds. Blinds were missing pieces and cabinets were falling off hinges. Wall damage in living room was noted and outside of house needed major painting. We had 6 people and it was just right.

Perfect Location!

This location is great for a smaller family getaway. We had 5 adults, 3 kids and two dogs and everyone had more than enough space. The pool and hot tub are a great addition and perfect after a beach day. We love LOVE love the location. Literally 3 minute walk and you are in front of the waves.

Clean, but very worn and old.

The house was clean, but the cleaning lady was there until well after 4pm (our check-in time). There are many things that need updated and fixed. The curb appeal of this home is atrocious, but the inside functioned well enough for a week vacation. The best thing about this home is the location—it is at the end of a dead end road, and close to the beach. The private pool and hot tub were great, although the pool needs some serious work to stay functional in the future. Overall this house met the minimum needs for a vacay, but may not in the very near future due to some serious needs for updates and repairs.

We came at the end of the season. Things are expected to happen. But we had quite a few issues. The air conditioner needed replaced. The house needs updated. Things need fixed. The location to the beach is stellar. It was the selling point online. But the property was in need of attention.

Very pleasant experience

We loved swimming in the pool and going to the beach! It was a great spot to get together with our family from all over! Great value for the price. House isn’t the newest on the block but definitely has a good vibe, great views and nice porch sitting. Lots of pots and pans and utensils included in the house (don’t worry about bringing your own)! Beach access is a lot of stairs, so prepare for that if your bringing little kids and/or beach wagons (the wagons won’t make it!) Overall pleasant experience.

You can't beat the price with its location and pool

For the price, its crazy close to the beach- it has a pool and hot tub with plenty of parking. The pool person comes Wed and Sat- so you know the water is clean and they noticed a slight ant issue when we were checking in, so they took care of it automatically. I would recommend this house.

Great Place for a Family Vacation

Great for families with small children as the walk isn't far to the beach (along a boardwalk), a pool for those morning swims while adults can sit and drink coffee, and plenty of bunk-beds for everyone to sleep in. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, etc., and the dinner table was large enough for everyone to sit together. The only negative things I could say would be purely cosmetic, but let's face it: you're on that island to have a good time at the beach. Who cares if the paint on the outside is peeling a little? The beds were comfy, the place was clean, and we felt safe walking to Duck Donuts almost every morning (less than half a mile away!). Definitely would rent this place again.

Possiblities

House need several major upgrades. Broken furniture, dining room table needs work, dirty dishes, had to wash everything before we could use it. Skillets even had grease in them where they had not been washed at all. Door knobs need replaced. Needs outside painted, first overall impression was not the greatest.
