A Jolly Boat-A FEW STEPS TO BEACH-ocean side Corolla. Perfect for families!

The perfect cozy beach cottage just a short stroll -65 steps from the beach ramp! FLEXIBLE DATES IN OFF-SEASON (SEPT-MAY). THANKFUL for our guests-please see their reviews. This newly and fully renovated blue cottage comfortably sleeps 10 guests between the 4 bedrooms. (Room arrangements: 3 with Queen beds, 1 with a single bed over a full bunk bed plus a single trundle bed) Two tile bathrooms plus an enclosed large outside shower for you to use straight off the beach. You will love the updates in the home including a new kitchen, new flooring throughout (no carpet!), open family room and kitchen with vaulted ceilings, propane gas grill, YouTube TV on large smart TV, high deck and a main level deck with picnic table relaxing chairs, a hammock swing and yes, of course WIFI. Our home is always professionally cleaned with all owner owned towels and bed linens provided to help ensure cleanliness and your comfort. All bedding is provided and beds made for your arrival. Bath towels provided for 10 guests.
** unfortunately, unable to accommodate pets.

Three parking spots available in the driveway--which is probably where your cars will stay during the duration of your holiday because this house is perfectly situated for ease of walking and biking. The bike path that follows the main road is just a few steps away! We provide 4 beach-style cruisers plus 2 small bikes for children. Camper vans and tow behind trailers are not permitted in the driveway per POA rules.

Extremely convenient to stop into grocery store, beach shops, and restaurants nearby but tucked into a smaller subdivision than most sections which you will love.

If you're visiting to do more than relax on the beach you'll find the under house storage area convenient, in addition to the tennis court next door and golf course across the street. Harris Teeter and Currituck Country Club across the street.

Owners have been OBXers for over 30 years and are more than happy to help you plan your stay! Please reach out with any questions or for more information. Also please know we do not employ a reality company to rent our house, no middle company, this allows you direct communication with us the owner to help ensure value and that you have a most enjoyable vacation.

Thank you again for another wonderful vacation at your home. Your home was just as we remembered, so incredibly clean, had everything we needed and much more, even down to precut bleach free parchment paper ! The linens were impeccable, the air quality and temperature control were excellent and the beds were so comfortable. You are amazing and stand out as hosts and we are so thankful for you.

Wonderful!

We greatly enjoyed our week! The house was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen in terms of pots/pans, etc. It was an easy walk to the beach and a nice number of beach chairs were provided. The location is convenient if you like to play pickleball and everyone we ran into in the neighborhood was friendly. Close to grocery stores and shops. The owner was quick to respond with any question I had both pre-booking and while there. No complaints whatsoever! Our family had a great stay!!

The unit was even better than advertised. We were confident that the unit was going to be good based on prior feedback, but it even exceeded our expectations. Every detail of the decor was well planned with a terrific beach theme. The unit was very clean. The beach was a short 3-4 minute walk. My tennis/pickle ball courts next to the unit was awesome - my sons played everyday! Finally, all the hype about the owner is TRUE - Jerry is the best! Provided restaurant recommendations for us and was an absolute pleasure to get to know. Couldn't have chosen a better vacation spot. Thank you Jerry!

Amazing !!

Loved this place. The house was very clean. Very spacious. The added toys for kids was nice. Very large kitchen table. The outside shower was perfect for kids. So many things for the beach which was nice to borrow. Very short walk to the beach, ONLY downside is the very tall, long staircase to the beach, so taking a cart or wagon is nearly impossible. But other than that, it was amazing. Would stay here again for sure.

Clean, close to beach, Perfect for us!!

I chose A Jolly Boat based on people’s comments about its cleanliness and I was not disappointed. The location was perfect for us (parents with adult kids and their significant others). We were so close to a supermarket and right next to the pickleball court which we used every day. The walk to the beach took 4 minutes door to sand. Jerry had beach chairs, beach games, nice bicycles, umbrellas, EVERYTHING you could ever need. We loved our stay and plan on returning again and again. Beautiful house

Excellent Stay!

We couldn't have asked for a better location for our family vacation! We made good use of the bikes, beach chairs, grill, sand toys, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with most every utensil or appliance needed for those who choose to 'Eat In'. Jerry was very helpful with answering questions in a timely manner! We would love to return again!

Great beach house!

This is a fantastic beach house. The property has plenty of room and is very well maintained. The location is fantastic- a short walk to the beach, a pickleball court right behind the property (which was a highlight for my teens), and walking distance to a great shopping center. The property owner is quick to respond and goes above and beyond to assure you have everything you need. Already planning to rent again next summer!

Perfect Family Vacation!

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks, and this house was perfect for us. Our family loves to be close to the beach, have space to play cards, and also have places to visit if we want to sight see a bit. We had 6 adults and one infant and it worked out perfectly. Jerry was super communicative and answered all of my questions quickly. The house was very clean upon arrival, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. We absolutely will stay here again!

Outstanding property!

This was our 6th time vacationing in OBX and this property has been our absolute favorite! It was very hard to find a beach house that affordable, great location, consistent reviews and clean! The Jolly Boat checked all of those boxes. Between the detailed pictures of the property as well as the exceptional 5 star reviews we knew that this was the perfect choice for our beach vacation. This house was fully stocked with everything that we needed for a family of 5 with young children and a teenager. We greatly appreciated the bikes for all ages, games, and especially the beach chairs and umbrella that was provided. We had the most memorable week and can’t wait to come back! Thank you Jerry!

Anothet Great Family Getaway

I can not speak highly enough about this property and the owner Jerry. This is our second year staying at "A Jolly Boat" and it did not disappoint. You are only steps from the beach and the upper deck of the house is perfect to watch the sunrise and stars.

Beautiful property in a great location

This is a beautiful, perfectly clean and well maintained home really close to the beach in Corolla. The house itself is updated and nicely equipped with everything you'd need for your beach vacation. The beach is a short walk away, just a short path and then steps over the dune. The house is really close to a grocery store and a very quick bike ride or drive to a great shopping center. We would absolutely stay here again!

Clean, comfortable, and elegant!

We’ve vacationed in the Duck/Corolla area for the past 14 years! The Jolly Boat stands out. We loved the clean feel to the house from the flooring and the air quality, to the kitchen and bathrooms. The location, so close to the beach, and yet so close to the grocery and restaurants/Duck Donuts was an incredible plus. Jerry, our host, was so kind and helpful. The hosts’ thoughtfulness was clear in the quality of the furniture and kitchen appliances, and in having clean linens and towels provided. Thank you so much for a most relaxing and wonderful time at your home, and hope to be back next Summer!

A wonderful beach vacation house

It was our second time to stay at this house. The location of the house is fantastic and it only takes 4 minutes to walk to the beaches. The house is very clean. The owners provide many beach chairs, bicycles, beach umbrellas, and other entertaining items, which are huge pluses for the guest. We just reserved a week for our 2024 vacation.

Best Home and Host

Our family has stayed in the OBX for over a decade and this has been our favorite property. The house is perfection. From its layout to its cleanliness to its amenities, this home has all you need to have the perfect getaway. Jerry and Gail are the absolute best and go above and beyond to be sure everything is perfect! Absolutely the best rental out there!

Lovely Beach Home

This was such a sweet property! We stayed here with our two children and my husbands parents. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of storage in them. The children’s bunk room is closest to the living room and with the door closed and their white noise machine on, they had no disturbance with us watching a show, talking or going in and out to hang on the deck. The washer, dryer, fridge & dishwasher all look brand new! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items to make a meal and the deck has a comfy 2 seater hammock swing. We did have a few issues upon arrival with spotty internet and a confused AC service guy playing around with our AC. I mention this only because Jerry was so quick to respond and resolve these minor issues, neither taking away from our wonderful experience. I also really appreciated that the home was very child friendly and had some toys, games, books, beach toys/chairs and umbrella, and a booster chair. It made our stay that much nicer. From the end of their deck to the beginning of the boardwalk is truly 60 steps. Just a heads up, the boardwalk is double that length and some recent dune repair adds several flights of steps to get up and down at the end, maybe 40 steps both ways. Obviously that is out of the owners control, I just thought it’d be helpful info. Truly though, this was an incredible week stay and the home was perfect for us! Thank you Jerry!
