"Although there is no indoor bathroom, the outhouse was more than adequate for folks who camp. The bed was comfortable, the host had the cabin warmed up and greeted us in a friendly manner and was happy to show us around their Alaska homestead. I would definitely recommend this spot as long as you don't mind some road noise"

"Stay and Play was a real gem of a stay and property. I loved the recently built tiny house which was perfect for me, my friend and two small dogs. They were very welcoming and helpful giving us great recs of things to see in the area. They also have kayak/bike rentals which I would love to return and experience. The property is clean, well cared for and I especially oved all the gardens, art and murals. It was a very inspiring place to visit. I really hope to return there. Super convenient...

"We’re a family of 6 with 4 teenage boys winding our way through AK for the first time. Valdez is our midway point and the historic house was perfect. It is quirky and quaint which adds appeal. We loved that we had a kitchen and space to spread out. The washer and dryer were put to great use and being able to walk everywhere was perfect! We rented bikes from the Fat Mermaid and tried out ice cream from a couple of the stands. Walking to Safeway was helpful in making meals and we just enjoyed...
