"Appreciate the hotel is due to close/have a refit but:
1. Check in staff were disinterested and not the level of experience and welcome you'd expect from a 5 star hotel (note not the doorman who was excellent).
2. The rooms are tired and in desperate need of renovation (possibly to be expected given planned closure but not reflected in the rates or star rating).

"From arrival until departure, we felt like we were staying in a luxurious location with the coziness of home. Everywhere was spotless and the staff were all friendly. There is a beautiful restaurant alongside a stunning spa, which are additional but worth it."
"The hotel was great. The family room was spacious and more than suitable for a family of 4. The pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were easy to access and a nice activity for the family ( children only able to access pool but the rest were a nice respite for mum.) The children were also excited to receive a certificate from the staff for good swimming.

"We enjoyed our two night stay at the Indigo in Chester very much. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room though a little short on storage and no useable bedside tables. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff pleasant and friendly and the services very good. We took our evening meals in the Forge Restaurant within the hotel where we enjoyed fine food efficiently served. A special thank you to Steph who took such good care of us.
