Pet friendly Leeward Cottage: Only a Few Steps to the Beach

Relax and leave all your worries behind!

Just steps to the beach and no roads to cross!
Escape the stress of making sure you have everything packed before heading off to the beach. This property is as convenient as oceanfront but without the high oceanfront prices!

Sit on the deck to watch the beautiful sunrise over the beach, then walk to Granny's Country Kitchen for a delicious hearty breakfast in the morning. Spend the day at the beach relaxing, maybe catch a wave or two, build some sandcastles with the kids, and then walk over to Ocean Grill's Tiki Bar for a few relaxing drinks. Check out the rides, arcade and the array of delicious food at the boardwark in the early evening.

On Sunday nights in summer, Carolina Lake across from the boardwalk offers free movies at the park in the summer. On the short walk up to the boardwalk & lake, head into Pops ice cream and pick up a special treat for the family. Can life get any better?

This is a 5 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom stand alone townhouse located oceanside at North Carolina Ave. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, TV and built in closet. Free wireless internet.

Ground level: Hot/cold outdoor shower. Small outdoor closet for beach equipment. Undercover parking for 3 vehicles plus a space next to house to park a boat or additional vehicle.

Level 1: Fully equipped Kitchen/Dining for 8, plus a bench table for up to 6 kids/adults;
Living room with Queen sleeper sofa and TV/VCR/DVD/NetFlix - cable TV has free on demand feature, walk out to the covered deck;
Full size bed in bedroom with own bathroom, deck access and TV;
Laundry room with washer & dryer;
Half bath in hall.

Level 2: 4 bedrooms;
Two Queen size master suites with full bathroom and TV/DVD/Netflix;
Two Queen/Twin bunk with full bathroom and TV/DVD.

Free Wi-Fi.

Non-Smoking.

Rents Saturday to Saturday during summer season. Please contact owner first if not renting Saturday to Saturday.

Cats & Small-Medium sized dogs are welcome! (Subject to pet fee)

Charo is a wonderful host and the house was perfect for our stay. The location was fabulous and there was space enough for everyone. We will definitely choose to stay here again!

First the pros- the kitchen was well equipped and there were several cleaning supplies which was nice. The proximity to the beach was ideal. It was great that each bedroom had their own bathroom, and outdoor shower great. Cons- there were tufts of animal hair and sand throughout the house and biggest con- they were doing construction on the house that was literally inches from our balcony. Hammering and banging all day until 5or 6pm. We couldn’t enjoy coffee on the balcony with ocean view because workers were right there and loud!Overall, we had a good week- not happy with construction noise. Still gave a 4 for beach proximity and supplies

Exactly as described! Each bedroom having their own bathroom was very nice. Steps from the beach. My 4 yo grandson claimed each day was the best day ever! Charo was very easy to work with.

It was perfect

Great house especially with everyone having there own bathroom. Minutes to several things to do and shopping. So close to the beach u dont even have to cross any roads. The house being build inches next door is the only downfall. It blocks most of the view but still a great place to stay. Would definitely stay there again

Perfect for Family Gathering

We were in Carolina Beach to celebrate our daughter's graduation, and this was the perfect house to fit our family and friends. The pure fact of having 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths allowed us to never feel like we were on top of each other. It also had a nicely stocked kitchen, which was convenient since we did cook a few meals. I highly recommend this house, and I hope to rebook it next summer.

Carolina Beach 2024 family weekend

Excellent host with friendly and thorough communication. Our family had an enjoyable couple of days. Great location and convenient although it wasn’t on the beach but had easy beach access and view of ocean. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed. Could have used a few more paper products but what was there was adequate. Key pad instructions could have been a little clearer for those unfamiliar with key pads but all good. Great selection of beds and variety of sizes but some not as comfortable as others. Overall great selection and likely to consider again in the future. Thanks for everything!

Perfect for families

This house had 5 bedrooms and each had its own bath. That's a great feature. House stocked with everything we could have wanted and needed. Many extras that most rentals don't include. Very short walk to the beach. Would recommend this house to anyone.

Spacious house close to the beach

My family of five and a friend’s family of four stayed for a week. The house was very spacious and we all had our own personal space. Loved that all of the bedrooms had a bathroom. The proximity to the beach was amazing. Just a quick walk with no busy streets. Perfect for the little ones (and parents lugging wagons ). The house also had everything we needed. Things that were forgotten were already at the house. Communication with the owner was easy. We would love to stay again sometime!

Great family gathering

Our group of 12 adults and 2 youth found Leeward more than met our needs. Large enough that we could spread out, also space for us to gather together. The short walk to the beach without having to navigate road traffic was a blessing. A rarity, the kitchen was well appointed with pots/pans and dinnerware sufficient for a larger group. Kure/Carolina has been our choice for more than 40 years, and Leeward helped continue that tradition.

Great location!

The house was located perfectly for our large group and small kids since we didn’t have to cross any roads and we’re right by the ocean! You could hear it from the deck at night and see it during the day. My only small complaint was the downstairs bed, it was hard as a rock. Still didn’t stop us from enjoying the place and having the best time!! Property manager was easy to contact and super nice and helpful. We will be back again!!

Close to everything!

We had such an easy walk to the beach or to Granny's for breakfast, ice cream shop, or a tiki bar. Or jump in the car and in a mile you can be in the center of restaurants, rides, shops. Traffic wasn't so bad and everyone is friendly. The house is roomy so everyone can spread out.

Great house but better cleaning and renovations needed!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The rooms and bathroom set up is perfect for families. However there were quite a few things that needed fixing and small renovations. Two of the bedroom doors did not shut (One completely off the hinge and had to stay open the whole time. Hooks in the bathroom were hanging or missing. These are the few things I remember. Also, I highly suggest looking into a new cleaning company. The floors were a little gross and we had to move the couch once and it was disgusting and had not been clean in forever. Those things need some work. Other than that we truly loved our stay and the closeness to the beach and town. We would stay here again! Thanks so much!
