"A welcome change after being further up north where the hotels are horrid. The host that checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful. Even had a treat for our dog. Our room was nice and clean and modern. The only reason I’m deducting a star is because of the state of the halls/windows. Every single one was extremely filthy. They should have the janitor cleaning the public spaces daily. "

"This is a bit of a hidden gem. Julia works very hard to accommodate her guests. The log construction facility is quite neat and the setting over looking the lake is beautiful. The rooms are very well equipped and the bed very comfy. Was a quick one night stay (in late - gone early) but would definitely stay again and recommend for anyone looking to stay out of big centres. Very relaxing vibe."

"The property is currently under renovations so is a bit rundown. The owners are very frienly and accomodating, really wanting to know what they can do to make the property more inviting and pleasurable for their guests...wrote down suggestions and seemed genuinly interested in making the hotel a welcoming enjoyable experience for their guests."

"It may be a slightly older building, but it is very well maintained. The room and bathroom decor is dated, which is fine, but very pleasantly clean. And the staff were helpful and nice. The only drawback is it's right on the highway, so is a little noisy. But overall, if you're looking for a good clean place to rest your head at a budget price, and don't mind a little traffic noise and dated decor, this is your place to stay. I highly recommend it. I give it 4.5 stars. "
