  • O South Kona Hideaway fica perto de alguns dos melhores snorkels do Havaí. Estamos situados entre Honaunau (local de refúgio) e Baía de Kealakekua, a uma altitude de 800 pés. Sua suíte lindamente decorada tem uma sala de estar com sofá-cama queen size, TV de tela plana a cabo, HBO e Showtime. Sua sala se abre para uma varanda grande, onde você pode relaxar. Sua cozinha espaçosa possui uma pia, micro-ondas, torradeira, geladeira / freezer grandes e mesa de jantar. Há um pequeno forno / fogão e churrasqueira fora desta unidade, que é compartilhado com os outros hóspedes. O quarto tem uma cama king size Sleep Number para o seu conforto e banheiro privativo com chuveiro.

    É fácil encontrar, localizado a aproximadamente 45 minutos ao sul do aeroporto, a 30 minutos ao sul de Kailua-Kona (cidade) e a 20 minutos ao sul de Keauhou. O vulcão fica a aproximadamente duas horas de carro panorâmico. Sua suíte possui estacionamento dedicado e uma entrada privada.

Conveniently located, hosts are delightful, fresh fruit and eggs each morning, takes a night or two to get use to coqui frogs singing. Rural feel to location. Close to our favorite snorkeling and breakfast spots.

A little piece of heaven

Lovely place, very hospitable hosts surprising us with home baked goods and lovely fresh fruit and eggs everyday. The whole experience here was impressive. We’ve stayed at many VRBO’s and can’t say enough about this place 😊

Great Hospitality

I can’t say enough about our stay. Tina and Kerri were great hosts. Anything we needed they were prompt and attentive. The property was quiet, clean, and perfect for our stay. We would stay again in the future.

Great location and hosts

Second time staying here and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Great hosts!! Plenty of space, great view, cooler weather being uphill a ways from the water. A really nice place to get away and relax. Plus it's just a short drive to great snorkeling.

Hidden gem

The most wonderful hosts greeted us with open arms, fresh fruit from the property and homemade muffins. The view from the deck is absolutely breathtaking, looks like it’s straight out of a movie 5/5 would recommend!

Awesome spot!

This rental is fantastic! They undersell it. The view is incredible and everything you need is available and more! Generous and lovely hosts, delicious fruit and muffins and eggs, hilarious animals and wonderful location.

Great Property Even Better Hosts

What a great place to get away from it all and taste that Aloha spirit! This place is immaculately maintained with a bunch of little extras thrown in. Tina and Keri never slow down and they bring that tireless work ethic to the way they take care of their guests.

Beautiful & Relaxing

The grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained. Tina & Keri are accommodating, giving and caring of all people, animals and their community. The units are very clean, well stocked and the beds and linens were more comfortable than most! We will definitely return to the Hideaway.

Came as strangers and left feeling like family. Tina and Keri are absolutely amazing hosts. Not only do they share their little piece of paradise but they also spoil you with fresh homemade muffins, fresh fruit from their property and eggs from their lovely chickens! Everything you could need was provided- chairs, cooler, umbrellas, towels etc! They had many guidebooks to help you find the best beaches, hikes etc. and were often around to answer any questions or give tips on where to go. We also enjoyed hanging out and getting to know them. Hawaii keeps calling us back and now we have a home away from home to go to! We can’t wait to return!
Who needs to go out?! Yummy breakfast all thanks to Tina & Keri!

Great Experience

Tina and Keri were fabulous hosts! From the welcoming warm muffins to the fresh fruits and eggs, they were generous and kind. The evening view from the deck can’t be beat! The facility had everything we needed, was clean, and comfortable. The ladies gave us many helpful suggestions as far as activities and dining. It felt like we were leaving good friends when we left. We highly recommend staying here!

Hawaiian Paradise

Such a sweet spot in South Kona. The property embodies the natural wildness and beauty of the Island. Tina & Kari are excellent, experienced hosts. The added touches of baked goodies, coffee and fruit embody the spirit of aloha. Accommodations are very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent location and sweet property

My family of four stayed here for ten days in June 2023. We had a great time all around and enjoyed this space immensely. Tina and Keri are gracious hosts, and we appreciated the homey feel of the place. The property information on the listing is accurate and there were no surprises. I recommend spot if you are looking for simplicity, a laid back feel and excellent proximity to many fun things to do! Fresh fruit, yummy muffins and fresh eggs are an appreciated touch as well!

If you’re looking for a home away from home that’s just 10 minutes from the best snorkeling, you have found the place. We were greeted by Tina and Keri with fresh eggs, papayas, avocados and bananas and coffee straight from their land. Everything is authentic, especially the kindness and care they bring, including the best muffins and cake and expert knowledge of where to snorkel. Their library of guidebooks on nature, hiking, and travel were awesome, as well as every possible thing you might need, including coats to use for a trip to the volcano. This area, South Kona, is a special place to relax and enjoy Kona coffee, and adventures with a rainbow of fish. A big Mahalo to Tina and Keri for a trip of a life time.

Honored guests

We going coming back! The home was clean and comfortable with all kinds of amenities. We lacked for nothing—beach chairs, mats, towels, snorkeling gear, coolers. Tina and Keri made us feel like honored guests. They shared their farm fresh eggs, papayas, fresh roasted Kona coffee from their property, and other homegrown fruit. It’s true what others said about the amazing warm homemade muffins and generous fruit platter greeting.

Our second visit to South Kona Hideaway!

A wonderful place to stay! This is our second visit, and it was just as good as we remembered! Tina and Keri have thought of everything you might need and provided it for your use. Immaculately clean, charming and cozy, and the sleep number beds are so comfortable! We got special enjoyment from the chickens strutting around the property and from one of the cats who seemed to know that our long stay had us missing our cats at home. The proximity to Two Step, where you can find some of the island's best snorkeling make this location, nestled among the fruit and coffee trees, just perfect! We'll be back!

True Big Island Spirit

We loved this place that is tucked in on the west facing side with coffee, macadamia, avocado trees amongst other beautiful trees and flowers. So convenient to the beaches, snorkeling, volcano park, and not too far to get supplies or great food. Our hosts Tina and Keri were amazing. Fresh baked muffins (delicious), fresh eggs and fruit grown on their property. A perfect home base away from the crowds in Kona. A big thank you to Tina and Keri. Hope to see you again soon . Our granddaughter loved hanging with the cats and chickens every day and chatting up our hosts every morning. Mahalo

Paradise Retreat - South Kona

South Kona Hideaway is truly a paradise retreat. From the start, we were greeted with the most delicious homemade muffins and a fruit plate picked fresh from the surrounding garden. The lanai apartment was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully filled with amenities. Our hosts truly made us feel the Ohana spirit. It was here that we could lounge on the deck, facing the ocean sunset, and not regret skipping a day of tourist sites. Situated in the Captain Cook coffee coast region, it’s close enough to the town attractions & beaches, and far enough to embrace the quiet and friendly neighborhood. And as much as we want to keep this gem our secret, we can’t help but rave about our stay and how much we look forward to returning.

Clean, large, beautiful view, kind hosts

This is our second time in Big Island. We knew we want to stay around Captain Cook area because we like to snorkel. We didn’t expect being greeted with the most delicious banana muffins. In addition, Keri and Tina generously share their fruits and eggs from the garden. The animals were all so cute and welcoming (yes including the geckos) - part of the package😊. We had two teen boys with us and the unit are big enough for all of us doing our school and work (at times) at separate spaces. Gratefully yours, CKMW

Wonderful first week of our honeymoon - perfect!

We had such an amazing time staying at South Kona Hideaway - it really was the perfect first week of our honeymoon! Very clean and well set up, super comfy bed, everything you could need. Peaceful with the most stunning sunsets to enjoy on the balcony, and then as the sun goes down the frog chorus begins - wonderful! Tina was the perfect host, her homemade muffins were to die for and the tropical fruit platter, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee beans all from the farm were such a treat. Tina was so helpful with top tips on things to do - we did everything and loved exploring the area. We really did have the most brilliant time and would love to come back one day! I would highly recommend this property. Thank you so much for welcoming us and looking after us so well. Mahalo.

Lovely retreat property

After reading several reviews for this property, my bar was set pretty high. However, it lived up to every expectation. We arrived very late at night to delicious home baked muffins, a lovely fresh fruit tray, fresh orange juice and Kona coffee beans. Every morning we feasted on fresh fruit and eggs from the property. In the house was a comprehensive binder that told us everything about the house and the surrounding area including best beaches, snorkeling locations, places to eat. Tina and Keri were very lovely, generous and gracious hosts. They were there to answer any questions we had and gave us lots of great advice. It was the perfect getaway place for my husband and I.
