"Beautiful views, friendly staff, walking distance to everything"

"With the Big Rock fishing tournament ongoing this was an emergency booking (as my favorite Bask Hotel was sold out). $355 was way too pricey for the neighborhood, staff appearance and “overflow warehouse” worn furniture, the hard to operate tv (a little channel guide wouldn’t come amiss) and the worn shower hose. The breakfast (with the exception of the egg-omelette) was not edible; the lack of healthy, non-processed food was stunning. But needed a bed and a shower … this place needs a major...

"The Ocracoke Harbor Inn was in a great location and walking distance to many things. The room was very clean with a nice outdoor porch. The morning continental breakfast was perfect."

"The person at the front desk was bothered each time we asked for something. The floors in the room were filthy. The oven and stovetop were rusted and disgusting and could not be used. On the last day we were there, we found roaches crawling throughout the room. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it has always been clean and well-kept with friendly, helpful staff. Will probably not book another reservation here."
