Cute Lake Cottage

We visited for a couple of days for a concert with our teenage daughter and her friends. The yard and living area were perfect for our little group. The lake and beach area were within walking distance. The distance to the CMAC was minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

My family and I had a fabulous vacation at this lakeside retreat. Everything absolutely exceeded our expectations! The home was beautiful, just steps away from the gorgeous lake, and the owners were so incredibly responsive and thoughtful. It was the perfect getaway and we can't wait to return!

Great Finger Lakes Getaway

The cottage had everything we needed and more. Joe was very responsive to any questions we had and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We thought bedroom storage was lacking until we found the drawers under the bed. We would recommend this property for anyone looking to get away.

Perfect lake cottage getaway

This property was absolutely perfect for the getaway we were looking for. The incredibly well-appointed cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Location wise, it couldn't be beat as the amenities included such as kayaks were easy to use with the lake in walking distance. Also close to town and CMAC, which was perfect as we attended a concert. The host Joe's responsiveness to any questions we had was excellent. We hope to be back soon!

Cute cottage close to the beach

We had a nice time in this cute cottage, and the host was welcoming. He replied to my questions with prompt and detailed answers, he allowed us the option to check in early, and it was easy to get in touch with him when an issue arose during our stay. There are a few areas that could be improved that would have made this a 5-star experience. Some listing photos appear to be from when the house was sold and don't reflect the current furnishings. The cute swing is still in the sunroom but there is different decor and no plants...small changes throughout which were generally not a big deal but the property did appear nicer in the photos. In one photo, the dining table showed chairs with backs, which we expected to strap in our child's booster seat to, but those were switched out for stools, presenting a problem for our young family. A deep cleaning needs to be performed, as there was dust accumulation/cobwebs on the light fixtures, metal wall art especially in the bathroom, floor corners and baseboards (I have a dustmite allergy and a baby who crawls everywhere so this was noticeable for us). There was a bar of soap with a hair on it left in the shower caddy. The house was well stocked and the location was wonderful (close to the beach, short drive to the village) but the kids/dog did not care for the loud traffic noise on the highway directly behind the house. The yard was large and we enjoyed playing with the tree swing.

Perfect Cottage Stay

My wife and I had a 3 day get away to Canandaigua Lake for our 29th anniversary. We went to a concert at CMAC on Saturday night, enjoyed a day in Canandaigua on Sunday and golfed on Monday. The cottage we stayed at was perfect for what we wanted. It had a view of the lake, it was clean and quaint. The property manager was very responsive and quickly responded to any questions we had. The location was near the concert venue and close to a small beach. We had a fantastic time and will stay there again.

Great weekend getaway!

We enjoyed staying in Joseph's clean and functional property. It worked well for my husband, our 18 mo, and myself. We loved watching the sunset, walking to the beach, and exploring the town. Thanks for the great visit!

Fantastic Getaway on the Lake

We had a wonderful experience. The property was the perfect size for our family of 3. It is very cute and comfortable with lovely design touches and amenities. The bottle of wine was so gracious of the hosts and we really appreciated the use of the kayaks. The location is fantastic-it is convenient to downtown Canadaigua and right across the street from a public beach. The hosts are incredibly responsive and helpful. We look forward to staying again!

Lovely property and exceptional host

My husband, teenage son and I stayed at this property for 3 nights in late August 2022. We arrived late evening and Joseph had the lights on to assist us with navigating at night. It was a detail that wasn’t overlooked by us. He had a bottle of wine on ice and fresh cut flowers on the table along with a note assisting us with codes and wifi passwords. The property has a private driveway that could fit 2 cars with an enormous manicured lawn, BBQ and a tiki bar with fire pit; we experienced s’mores one evening❣️ The inside is very clean and organized with lots of natural light. We had a TV, a keurig coffee maker, microwave, ice maker, a/c with lots of ceiling fans. Joseph had a puzzle, magazines and brain teaser books to keep you entertained in the evening. The neighbours were very friendly to us and quiet. The beach is literally steps away and we had a gorgeous sunset every evening!!! There is a lifeguard on site, sand and grassy area with bbqs and picnic tables along with restrooms. We visited the Waterloo outlets, we drove into town and walked along the boardwalk and we had dinner at Nolan’s for my husbands’ birthday. There is a pizzeria and convenience store about 1km from the property. We ordered pizza and it was very good. In town there is a large grocery store and many places to eat and visit. We definitely could’ve stayed longer!!! Joseph was an excellent host and he provided a lot of wonderful recommendations. He was very attentive and responsive! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and we will definitely return next summer!!!! Thank you for the beautiful memories and photos!!!! 😃

Hidden Gem!

Joe's property was fantastic! He allowed us to check in a little early, which was nice! Getting to the property, and accessing the house were very easy. The house was spotless, he had a bottle of Finger Lakes wine and fresh flowers waiting for us on arrival, and all the appliances and furniture are very modern. I loved the general aesthetic of the house. The backyard was spacious with a nice seating area and he had a kayak that he let us use. All in all it was a great trip and could not recommend it more!!
