"I felt comfortable soon has i walked in staff where lovely, the only thing was they had a power cut for 12 hours and it was pitch black in the bedroom i know its not there fault but i have a walking disability which i try to keep to my self. But other than that i have had a fantastic stay."

"The hotel is very dated and needs decorating. Our shower hardly worked as the water just dripped out. The bed was comfy and the bedding and towels were lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. The downstairs bars were cluttered with things and needed a good clear out, this made it not very inviting to have a drink. The hotel is in an ideal place in the centre of town which was ideal for what we wanted. "

"Stayed here for the first time 14 March oh my what a treat. We stayed in the James Herriot room and it’s the little details such as a piece of cake a glass of port and the accessories were in keeping with the great man himself all very well thought out. We dined that evening and we were not disappointed the food was exceptional and well executed. A warm and welcoming experience by staff who were so friendly!"

"We stayed in cottage 3 only one night unfortunately as I could look at that view from our window forever. The cottage was spotless and lovely and warm and there was everything you could need for a longer stay . The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. "Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night. "
