Join the Tissington Trail nearby for traffic-free cycling and walking, or head for the High Peak Trail if you are keen to stretch your legs. Picturesque Dovedale, with its iconic stepping stones, is around 8 miles away. For days out, explore the market town of Bakewell, 8.5 miles, and historic Matlock, 11.5 miles. Families will love the Heights of Abraham, 12 miles, and Alton Towers theme park, 17 miles, while the grand estate of Chatsworth House lies about 12.5 miles away.


Head inside via the porch to find sumptuous accommodation with ample space for your large party of family and friends to gather in exceptional comfort. Discover spaces with features, such as revealed stonework and gorgeous beams, as well as high-specification fixtures and fittings. Leave your outerwear in the boot room and head on into the reception hall, where there is a WC and utility room. Two ground-floor bedrooms, a king-size and a triple, with three single beds that the children will adore, are also here. These are adjoined via a Jack and Jill shower room, making them perfect for a family. Wander on through to the capacious, contemporary kitchen/diner, with its chic light cabinets and work surfaces. Find everything you need to help you conjure up feasts for your group to sit down and dine at the grand table. Pause at the breakfast bar while you wait for everyone to congregate. Open the door to the garden in summer to step outside. The dining area flows into the lovely lounge/bar. Pull a chilled bottle of fizz from the drinks fridge in the bar, then perch on a stool or gather round the table. Settle on the comfortable seating to look out over the garden with the bi-folding doors open or recline in front of the home entertainment system, with its TV and sound bar. Climb the stairs from the hall to your remaining beautiful bedrooms. These include two king-sizes, one with an en-suite shower room and one with an en-suite bathroom. There are also two family rooms, one with a king-size bed and a single bed, and one with a double bed and a single. Both these bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms.
