Already knowing the Keswick area well we knew Portinscale would suit us well - outside the bustle of Keswick but within easy walking distance down a nice path, and easy access to local country walks. The cottage was immaculate in both cleanliness and decor - and well equipped - with off street parking. Our adult daughter had the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds ( would have been a perk if was 2 singles which could be set up as a King...

The bedroom is large with very comfortable bed and everything needed. The bathroom is beautifully done with large walk in shower. The only observation I would make for the benefit of others is that the two sets of stairs might be tricky for some. Booking was easy and customer service excellent with friendly and helpful staff."

"Maiden Moor exceeded all expectations. As soon as we walked in it felt inviting as someone had left the heating on for us and smelt very fresh and clean. Had all the home comforts and facilities you could need and very good quality. Highlight was the electric reclining furniture especially after a long walk! Also the location and having 2 parking spaces was such a treat if anyone knows Keswick so being able to walk into town or to Booths across the road was a real bonus!"
