"Last minute trip. Not many options. It turned out much better than my expectations. The room is clean and nicely decorated, the bed is very comfy. The building (built in 1830) was excellently maintained, and furnishings/decor struck the perfect balance between period and modern. "Had a wonderful 3 days here. Madeleine and Ken, were excellent and helpful hosts, providing suggestions for walks, wineries and restaurants. The daily homemade breakfast was delicious and varied each day. We particularly loved the fresh homemade muffins and scones. Lovely touch to have access to complimentary snacks, fruit and drinks through the day as well. Great location, comfortable room and an easy walk into town. "

"I would definitely recommend this B& B for anyone visiting Cayuga Lake or Ithaca. Loved learning about this inn’s history! Good location and great home cooked breakfasts. Amenities like ice, coffee, ironing board and toiletries were readily available. I don’t think it is handicapped accessible and stairs are steep so be ready to “get your steps in” if you stay here. I would stay here again if visiting this area."

"Our stay at the Fox and the Grapes was excellent! We throughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, the main fireplace in the great room/lobby, and fireplace in our East Lake room. This was the perfect home base for our Seneca Lake wine tour! We enjoyed meeting Guinness, the friendly B&B German shorthair pointer, who made us feel welcome as well. We will definitely be coming back! "
