"There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark."

"The pub itself is very old and in need of complete redecoration. The stairs, carpets, walls, paintwork leading up to the room was in a very poor state. Carpets need a good clean and decorating needs to be done. However, although the room was very basic and worn, the bed was comfortable, the bed linen clean and well laundered. "The property was ideally situated for the local shops. Everything we needed was contained within the property and we were extremely comfortable. The parking was a bit tricky but once used to it or was fine. There is scaffolding on the next door building which was the main cause. There was no Internet but I have my own provider so it didn't impact on me, however the pub has wifi next door and upstairs you can pick up the boots wifi!"
