"Daisybank cottage is a must for anyone looking to stay in the New Forest. The room was perfect - spacious, spotless and huge fluffy towels in the bathroom. Lovely touches in the room and so thoughtful. Great breakfast and friendly welcome. Its perfect for various walks without the car to get to start points, and close to pubs and eateries nearby. It was situated at the front of the building over some sort of service room with a generator or boiler that emitted a constant drone all through the night. "A nice room if a little on the small side. Lovely staff. The one drawback here is the food. Very expensive and slightly below ‘adequate’. As an example a meat sharing plate was £48 but had a couple of normal sausages, 2 eggs, small bit of chicken and 3 tiny steak chunks. So disappointed by the food that we cancelled our dinner reservation. If you are staying just for the rooms though they a good location. "
