"Lovely stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained throughout our visit. The back lawn/outdoor area was absolutely lovely and very relaxing, with a great atmosphere. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful despite it being an extremely busy bank holiday weekend. The food was really good throughout our stay and the bar area was a great place to unwind in the evening. Would certainly return."

"This is a 15th Century building with the stable block converted into accommodation. The room we occupied was very large with all the usual amenities, pristine clean with a huge comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was comprehensive as was the dinner menu. My only suggestion is that a help yourself coffee and tea facility would enhance its facilities.Excellent hotel at the price."

"Never stay here in the summer! A lovely hotel with a great spa but sadly the staff were not interested. Our room (6) was boiling hot, far hotter than 2 other hotel rooms we have slept in over this May 26 heatwave. When we raised this at check in and explained that we would not be able to sleep in the room we were given a spare fan that simply moved the hot are around. "The property was a great location close to the harbour and forest. Set near a river the evenings were perfect sitting out having a drink. The rooms are located away from the restaurant/pub so it is good when she wants to go to bed. Had a really nice day. We will definitely come back."

"It is about 25 mins drive to princess cruise port and a good place for one night stay. I was a bit worried about carrying suitcases upstairs. Susan relied to my question before my trip and offered assistance if needed. There are several local restaurants within 5 mins walking. My husband left one bag in Uber car. Susan helped call our driver and had the bag back on time. Breakfast on the second day was excellent. We had very good time there. I will consider to book again in future."

"This Hotel hit all the spots for our small intimate family wedding for our daughter. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were perfect. The gardens were beautiful and well looked after a perfect setting for photographs. The food in the evening and at breakfast great and plenty of choice. A big thank you to all the staff."

"The White Buck is a beautiful building in a lovely new forest village. Our room was well appointed and if a very good size. Tea making facilities were in the room and the little milk fridge on the landing is excellent."

My only one suggestion is re the sofa bed - matress is really not comfortable and too thin. Maybe at the very least a mattress topper could be used if the whole mattress cant be changed."

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. "The Beach house is wonderful. We love staying there and can't fault it really. The staff were so friendly, kind and helpful. Brenda particularly was just lovely. My experience of booking with Expedia however was not great. The Beach House had no record of my booking."
