"This is a charming older hotel with very helpful, friendly staff and a lovely overlook over the river. The room we had was great, updated & spotless. The slight hesitation I have is simply that it is a very old building structurally and had a slightly musty (to me) smell in the lobby/hallway. In addition, I was surprised to learn, only a couple of days before our arrival, that as an old building with a pub on the main floor, there could well be a fait but of sound travel to the rooms above the...

"The front desk man was very helpful and kind. The room was lovely, there was yogurt, cheese and mandarins in the fridge in the room, and muffins were also provided, it was nice to be able to lounge in the room instead of going downstairs. The two-person tub was a bonus as well. Nice, quiet and close to everything."
