ATTENTION ROCK CLIMBERS: This is ideal place for you. The Chief is just 7 minutes driving distance from here. Add another 5 minutes and you are in the outdoor adventure mecca of Squamish.

If you like quiet, unpretentious living then this accommodation is for you.
This 2 bedroom, air-conditioned, large apartment (1200 ftĀ² /110 mĀ²) is located in the village of Britannia Beach, only 45 minutes driving distance away from downtown Vancouver. Stay close to everything what the city of Vancouver has to offer, while enjoying the peacefulness and serenity of suburban living and outdoor activities of the Vancouver coast.

The apartment includes spacious dining and living area, with a superb view of the Howe Sound and the mountain at the other side of the water. As a bonus, you can bask in the sun at the outside deck, or even have your all meals there. Both bedrooms have their own, separate full washrooms. Sleeping arrangement is for 6 people.

Free local phone calls and high speed internet are provided. Ample parking in front of the house and at the street.

You will be living in a vintage, air-conditioned, house in a quiet and charming neighbourhood at about 50% discount of the prices of the Vancouver metropolis.

NOTE: Out of the respect for the neighbours, to make sure that no wild parties are taking place, the manager of the house stays in the attic of the house (separate entry) during all rentals.

Fantastic area with incredible views close to attractions and town services. The unit was comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately it was not mentioned in any conversation or description of the VRBO that there were three floors in the house with people living there. The manager had mentioned that he lives upstairs above the unit we were in but did not mention that there was another rental unit below us (seven young people were sharing this unit while we were there). Creaking floors and conversations were easily heard from both above and below. Also, the unit and its contents are old and somewhat tired ā€¦ but still functional. The manger was responsive to our queries and was pleasant.

Brittania Beach is an amazing location - and our stay at the property certainly kept pace with experience. Very close to the Brittania mine, we learned about the history of the place at the nearby Mine Museum. We are an active family, so it was a very easy drive to nearby Squamish where we went biking the local trails to Alice Lake, fishing at Browning Lake, boating at Howe Sound and hiking - the latter at the Stawamus Chief! It was very easy communicating with Jan, the property manager - and we certainly enjoyed the spectacular views of the Sound from the balcony. The access to the excellent kitchen allowed us to cook family meals, and the laundry washer/dryer made it very convenient for us. Thank you, Jan! We definitely enjoyed our stay - and look very much forward to visiting the area. And when we do, we hope we can stay again.

Thanks for hosting us Jan, we enjoyed our stay at your property. The view from the porch was really nice. Note that this property has a shared entrance with Jan living in the upstairs unit and another tenant in the basement unit, but that had no effect on us. Would come again for the future!

PropriĆ©tĆ© trĆØs bien situĆ©e tout prĆØs de Squamish. Vue trĆØs impressionnante Ć  partir de la terrasse. IntĆ©rieur avec ameublement disparate et vieillot qui aurait besoin de renouveau. Le plus dĆ©cevant fut la propretĆ© des lieux, la cuisine en particulier. Le four de la cuisiniĆØre nā€™avait pas Ć©tĆ© nettoyĆ© depuis belle lurette, les portes dā€™armoires, les murs tachĆ©s et collants. La porte dĀ“entrĆ©e trĆØs sale. Literie et serviettes de bain de piĆØtre qualitĆ©, les oreillers durs. Rapport qualitĆ© prix dĆ©cevant. Dommage lā€™endroit a du potentiel.

Very clean and lovely apt. Off a side street so safe yet accessible to Squamish. Caretaker went out of his way to see we had what we needed. Would stay here again, for sure. The balcony was where we spent most of the evening. Just lovely!!

Jan has a very good place and it's good value for money. Initially we had the impression that this is an independent home and not an apartment within a home. So we had some reservations. But the experience was great. The view was great! And Jan was very helpful all along. If you value your privacy and yet want to enjoy the place- this is a perfect get away. It's an hour from Vancouver and tight smack in the middle of everything that nature has to offer! Good stuff Jan! God bless!!
