Beautiful house was really amazing. Bathrooms were beautiful. Great water views, nice deck for the whole family, plenty of seating. Was really well stocked with utensils and things you might need on a long stay (washing machine, dryer etc) great location, can walk to the pub and the beach. Did see a couple of cockroaches and only 1 room has a ceiling fan, so on the hot days/nights the other rooms can be steamy but pedestal fans are provided. Really can’t complain, the house was perfect

We were having a 3 night stay here and by the reviews were excited to have our first pet friendly holiday with our pup. The location was perfect for us. A short walk to the off leash beach and close to the dog friendly Straddie Hotel and a short drive to Pt Lookout for supplies and lunch. Unfortunately the house is a little tired and needs some upkeep. Whilst the bathrooms, laundry and downstairs powder room have been very nicely upgraded the kitchen is in bad need of renovation. One side of the sink with the insinkerator had a hand written note on kitchen paper saying don’t use the sink as it leaks. The other sink was cracked. The cabinetry was chipped and pieces missing. The stove was old and worn. We didn’t cook at all so can’t comment on any of the appliances. In saying this the kitchen was well stocked with good crockery and glassware and the large fridge was good with chilled water. We only used the main bedroom which has a rather firm double bed and as stated the ensuite was new and nicely remodelled. The light in the stairwell was not working so we had to leave a hall light on to use the stairs. There are two TVs in the house. The one just inside the front door could not be turned on and neither could the dvd player. I suspect the remotes needed new batteries or maybe the TV is broken. The TV is a good LG in the lounge area and is a smart only TV so no free to air. The outdoor furniture was old, tired a a bit grubby. As we live close to the beach and have owned rental properties in the area we know that the environment is harsh and houses require constant upkeep but if you’re paying the prices asked for these properties then a little truth in advertising would be appreciated. I have emailed the agent with details of non working lights and appliances. Whilst some of my remarks may seem nitpicking the problems did detract from what would otherwise be a great stay.
