The staff are the best, the rooms are clean and welcoming, the breakfasts are superb, the bar has a nice cosy and relaxed vibe and it's a good location if you're planning to hike around the Lakes. "We have stayed here a few times in the past but not for about three years now. Sadly, we were very disappointed . The service used to be exceptional. I asked for a quiet room as we are very light sleepers - we were kept aware by the kitchen fan at the back of our room and the noise from the reception desk. We had lunch there and the prawn skewers were bland and tasteless. The breakfast buffet selection was poor, however the hot meals were very good. The service was dire, staff were stood around...

"The suite was beautiful, very clean and the decor was stunning. The owners were very helpful with parking information as our vehicle wouldn’t fit in the car parking space provided (travelling in campervan). Suite was less than 1 mins walk from the centre. "

"Fantastic stopover on trip down south . Recently refurbished with great food and exceptional staff. Room was a tad small however this was balanced with cleanliness and really nice toiletries.
