"You need sharp eyesight to see the hotel as it's right on the roundabout. It was perfectly placed for where we needed to be the next day.
Parking was not a problem.
The room was an odd shape and in need of new carpet. The doors are fire doors and they really did Bang shut every time someone came in our out of the coach house.
The staff were Friendly and very helpful without being intrusive .
The tables in the restaurant felt sticky which slightly puts you off although the meals were...

"The tv didn’t work. Reported on 1st night. Promised to rectify next day. Never happened.
There was no hot water. Reported on 1st night. Told to run tap for a long time.
Shower was not fit for purpose. I could not get it to work other than cold.
There was no extractor working in the tiny en-suite."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Reception was excellent.
Grounds/estate amazing, miles of walking and an historic church with a 900 or so old Yew. It is worth reading the history of the place, layers and layers of it.
They take beautiful care of the property.
I had a beautiful room with a beautiful view right out my doors and a little patio.
They do host big events ie weddings and it is not as peaceful, so you may want to check if there is a big event - IF you are seeking more quiet.
I would return in a blink.
