"Fab location, close to the beach, about 40 minute walk from centre of Broadstairs. Lovely veranda to enjoy meals and drinks outside in the good weather."

"Staff was pleasant and hotel is well located near the waterfront. Far away from shopping and restaurants. Nearby bus stop was helpful. Staff should have more information on hand that is helpful for travelers, such as how to find out about buses and cabs. The restaurant should offer more options for breakfast at affordable rates and not one rate fits all."

"The room was small and badly decorated. It was on the third floor with no lift. The breakfast was average at best the staff done their best but it was obvious I had no training. Very expensive for what you get."

"The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and well organised to suit any guests needs. The bed was very comfortable. There was no TV. The continental breakfast included in price was exceptional, with a good selection of local produce and very tasty home made granola. Other cooked breakfast options were available at a cost. Parking was available locally at a reasonable fee and supported by the hotel. The location was ideal, opposite Turners Contemporary...

"The staff were excellent, the property was very clea, I had the single room and it was very spacious. Excellent location for the beach, great breakfast. All in all 5 star."

"We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire."

"Charming hotel and great location. Bar and restaurant onsite were very nice and handy. Breakfast was amazing! Hospitality of the staff, also amazing. Don't let limited parking scare you, they have a nice arrangement for inexpensive overnight parking just across the street. Older facility, so don't expect air conditioning, and of course we stayed there during a historical heat wave in the UK for May. On normal nights, I think temps would be fine. Would recommend and stay at again."

"We recently attended a nearby wedding and stayed at The Five Bells, an amazing family-run pub and B&B. The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home. Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place."

"The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend"

"Great location and has a parking space, main bedroom is very nice but second bedroom is more suitable for children than an adult couple. Kitchen and living room is nice and the host supplied coffee and tea. Thank you!"
