The “Belgium Pier” has a rich history and is now part of the Belgian national patrimony. This unique structure - a 350-meter-long bridge in the sea - is recognized far beyond the national borders. The very first cast-iron pier dates from 1894, but was destroyed in the First World War. In 1933 a new, concrete pier was built, which underwent a thorough renovation in 2003. The Belgium Pier was the first on the Atlantic coast of the European mainland and has since then only been joined by Scheveningen (Netherlands). #Culture

The pedestrian mall in Blankenberge, Belgium, a seaside resort with sandy beaches and a harbour with fresh seafood sold nearby. All within walking distance from the train station for a day trip. We had good fish n chips at a restaurant along the ped mall. (June 2016)

Es war so, als wenn Freunde ihre atmosphärisch-schöne Wohnung anderen Freunden für den Urlaub überlassen, alles ist da und ist sehr persönlich gestaltet. Dann vom Wohnzimmer aus der freie und ungestörte Ausblick aufs Meer! Die Wohnung liegt zudem am ruhigeren Teil der Strandpromenade!
