Located in the heart of North Georgia this hand built and lovingly remodeled authentic log cabin is the home of your perfect Appalachian getaway. Whether you're looking for adventure, romance, or just a peaceful escape, Sun Oak Cabin is the place for you.

As soon you walk in, you will see warm wood accents, a modern kitchen with a copper sink, Corian counters, a Keurig and all the amenities. We kept you in mind when we completely updated the bathrooms with tile, teak, and a rain shower with massage jets. Our queen size beds are so comfy you will want to sleep in. There is also a queen size folding wooden bed frame and trifold memory foam mattress in the living room, in case you'd rather not sleep with your grandma, and a twin daybed in the loft. There is little to no "ruffing it" at Sun Oak Cabin. For the romantics, the remote controlled gas fireplace and general ambiance will lend to the perfect evening. You can enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine from the wine rack. For the sports fan, we have a 65" flat-screen smart TV with the sports package, so you'll never miss a game. Or just log into your Netflix account to laze away the day. We also have a fire pit for the kids (and kids at heart) to roast marshmallows. For adventurers, hike down to the creek shelter and picnic table, play in the water and explore our 4 acres!

Sun Oak Cabin is close to many of the local attractions, yet serene and secluded. Watch deer, turkey, and other wildlife from the comfy Amish outdoor furniture on the covered porch. Or head out to the pavilion and cook up a whole meal on the Blackstone griddle/air fryer, while family hangout with you at the picnic table, the lounge seating and the "under the porch" swing. If it's warm, turn on the cooling fans to stay breezy. Edison string lights will give your evenings outside a festive air. We've tried to think of everything to make the perfect mountain vacation experience, now all that is needed is you!

This was our third stay at this property. As our previous stays, the cabin was very clean with all the amenities you need. It is very convenient to many things. We had some long time friends over for an afternoon gathering at the pavilion, and it was wonderful. The pavilion is well equipped with everything you need. Highly recommend. We'll be back.

Beautiful cabin and grounds! It was clean quiet and the trail to the creek was a nice addition. The fire pit and grill area was an added plus. I would recommend this property for people looking for ace relaxing and peaceful stay that is close to hiking areas.

Close to Walking Trails

This is a VERY clean cabin close to walking trails and parks. Lots of wild birds and deer seen everyday. Convenient to Blairsville for all your shopping needs. We have been coming to this area for 40 years and hope to come again. Thanks

Wonderful cabin experience with my family

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner communicated quickly and we had no problem checking in and feeling right at home. The cabin is beautiful and very cozy, the surroundings are quiet and peaceful with locations to get food nearby. The owner is working on access to a creek downhill in the back yard that the kids had a blast walking in boots exploring under rocks. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything else for our first family visit to the mountains. Thank you.

Fantastic Stay

Easy check in proceeds, great communication with host, clean cabin that’s just as pictured. Enjoyed listening to the birds on the back patio, reading while swinging. Look forward to visiting again and using the pavilion and fire pit.

Backyard is perfect for family time!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The house is kept up well and has a cozy feeling. We loved the porch seats and eating at the porch table. The pavilion seating with cornhole and the grill was so nice to relax and around and enjoy the scenery. We loved grilling and sitting by the fire. We were able to walk down to the creek a few times and our kids loved that. It will be really nice when the path is completed and the gazebo was added. Great location to many different GA activities. Would love to visit again. The owner is very friendly and communicative and gives a personal touch, more then a management-company rental.

The perfect cozy getaway

My husband and I absolutely love this beautiful cabin! It was decorated so beautifully for Christmas! We loved all the lovely wood throughout. And loved the heavy wood interior doors with slide locks. Very unique! They had plenty of towels and comfy bed linens. Loved the comfy furniture to. And the gas fireplace was very relaxing and cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed. And loved the copper sink. The property was wooded but still had a mountain view. We saw a family of 6 deer on the grounds. We had no issues with check in or anything during our stay. We took a day trip to Dalonagha only an hour away. And we shopped in Blairsville as well. We are definitely going to book this cabin again in the future. And definitely at Christmas time again. Maybe we will see snow next Christmas! Great cabin!

This is a wonderful place to kick back and relax. It is very clean and comfortable. Wifi works great and is lightning fast. The pavilion out back is really nice. We enjoyed grilling on the Blackstone griddle and playing cornhole. It was too hot in July for the campfire or fireplace, but both should be lots of fun in the right weather. Host has all sorts of campfire tools set out and lots of wood. Location is perfect. This cabin does not have some of the "toys" like we used to book when our kids were young and with us, so no hot tub or game room or mountain views, but if you are just looking for a clean and comfortable cabin in a great spot, this is for you. Besides, mountain views are all over the place in the area, and there are plenty of waterfalls to visit nearby as well. The cabin itself is superior to the ones with all the frills we have booked in previous years. Host is very responsive, and it was a tremendous cost/value for this type of property! I highly recommend!

Quilting, Crafting, Reading, RELAXATION!!

Everything was wonderful. The Cabin was Very well apportioned. The hosts had thought of everything we might need, and it was there! Inside and outside was clean, comfortable, and welcoming! Jim's Smoking Que is Right there, a Great Quilt shop right in town, Vincent's Coppertop restaurant was also fantastic. I would highly recommend this Wonderful Cabin, and it is even handicapped accessible.

Amazing rental!

We just loved everything about this home and property! The personal touches everywhere we looked made our stay so enjoyable. We loved spending time in the pavilion below the property and on the gorgeous deck in the rockers. We will definitely rent this property again if we have the chance to come back ❤️
