"Comfortable nice cabin, great porchIt is on a hard curve so there is some traffic going by but very little. I would just be careful if you did bring a pet. There were deer in the morning which we loved. The river is accessible and if weather has been nicer I think we would have spent most of our time down there."

"This was a wonderful place to have a family reunion. This is our second trip to this home. They take care of all of the small details including a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of beds and bunks for all the kids, an ice machine, a pool with a sun cover, Great outdoor spaces. The host was very responsive. We had an issue with the air conditioning and they had a repairman on site within 2 hours. We had chef Brad from local restaurant, pops smorgasbord, cater our meals and he was the highlight of...

"Great atmosphere. Phenomenal views! Towards the end of the street, so it was nice and quiet.Perfect for my boys and I to fish and relax. "

"This property had everything we needed and I was impressed with how clean it was. All the amenities for our dog Gabby was a definite plus as well. The fenced yard was great as she got to safely roam and explore. The kitchen was well appointed as well as the bathrooms.I also loved the upper deck overlooking the lake. Wonderful view. "We absolutely loved our stay at The Shire! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. We loved the direct water access and we kayaked for hours. The house had everything we needed. We will certainly come back again. "

"We visited this property last year for a rare kid-free getaway and decided to make it an annual trip. It was just as great as I remembered! The location is incredibly private and quiet. "Beautiful property if you’re looking for some solitude in nature! The house is well built with that modern rustic feel. It was nice and cool in the hot August weather, and had every comfort when away from home. We enjoyed being able to unplug and listen to the sounds of the woods and the river below.
