The Fawn Lodge @ Wilson's Paradise Lodging

Closed for the winter season. Will reopen in the spring. The Stone Front at Wilson's Paradise is open for winter months.

The Fawn Lodge at Wilson's Paradise Lodging is located in Medix Run, Benezette Twp, Elk County PA. Within minutes drive time from Benezette & Winslow Hill. Wildlife, including elk, deer, bear, turkeys, are spotted often at the premises. Please READ "house rules" before booking. Thank You.

Wilson's Paradise Lodging offers 2 cabins, The Fawn Lodge as you see here and The Hillbilly Hilton also available for booking on VRBO. Wilson's Paradise also offers a one bedroom motel room style rental called The Stone Front, also available on VRBO. The cabins are located on a private road away from the highway. Deer and Bear are often on the premises and occasionally Elk will venture through. Medix Run offers excellent trout fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. There is also a large creek approx 1/2 mile away from Wilson's Paradise Lodging that is a popular kayak route when there is sufficient water.

Cookware/dishes are available for use in the kitchens, but bring your own spices, cooking oils, coffee, etc. Bottled water is provided, do not drink the tap water.

Paper Towels, toilet paper, etc. provided.

Bath Towels provided, but bring your own soap, shampoo, etc.

Bed linens provided & blankets are washed after EVERY guest, not just on occasion as most of the other rentals do. Your happiness, safety and satisfaction are the goal at Wilson's Paradise Lodging and your business will be appreciated.

Everything about our stay was perfect and could not have asked for anything more from the communication of the owner to the amenities of the Lodge! When you are told you do not need to bring anything except coffee and your provisions, he is correct. Would stay here again and highly recommend this accommodation in the heart of Elk Country in PA.

Even though other cabins were nearby, our cabin was private and secluded enough to give us plenty of privacy. The rear area of the cabin had privacy fence up to block the view of neighboring cabins. We loved it!

We loved our stay! We pulled in the driveway and was greeted by some white tail deer. Cabin was exactly as pictured, clean, comfortable, quiet, perfect! I contacted the host before our trip and response was fast. We had deer, and turkey come up past the cabin, no elk or bear :( We went to the visitor center and took the horse drawn wagon ride. We loved it, thank you so very much for letting us stay and enjoy your beautiful cabin!! Look forward to many more trips

We loved everything about Fawn lodge. Beautiful, clean and great location. We had a Elk bull come through the yard at 8:30 the morning we left. It was awesome.

This place a great place we had a great stay beds were comfortable. Shower was nice a hot. We cooked our breakfast there and dishes were right there to be used.. fire pit with plenty of wood. Lets just say we really liked it.

The house was set back in away from the road noise. Was a very enjoyable weekend stay. We did see deer and turkeys on property. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

My family and I had a wonderful stay in the Fawn Lodge in Weedville, PA. The cabin has a lot of charm!! We saw lots of deer making their way through the woods!! We will definitely be back!!

It was a very nice cabin we stayed in very clean Loved how quiet it was it rained all day Saturday but did stop enough to light the fire pit which was very relaxing in the evening very thankful for the porch at least we got to sit on the porch when it was raining will be backNext year

Elk viewing

Came to see the elk. Visitor center and viewing areas we only a short distance from our lodge. As far as eating out the were not many options in the direct area. Of those the meals were ok.

Fawn Lodge is a great cabin designed and constructed for what it is intended for. A great mountain home away from home with all the amenities provided anyone would need. It has the wonderful quirks and charm of any great mountain camp/cabin. Loved this place very much and look forward to staying here again.

Everything about our stay was perfect! We loved the cottage! It was perfect and had everything we could need. We had deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and even a turkey stop by. It was very centrally located near all the elk, parks and trails. Yet still a short distance from St. Mary’s and shopping.

Stay at the fawn lodge

Our stay was great! The cabin is beautiful inside and out! We will definitely book here again. We even were treated to a beautiful sight early Saturday morning. A fawn was born and we got to see him/her take their first steps. I tried to add a photo but was not able.

Five days of R&R

Came out here for mountain relaxation and hoped to see some elk along the way. Thing is elk are elusive creatures this time of year. We did spot two at quite a distance at the Winslow Hill viewing area. Every evening like clockwork a herd of deer came down off the mountain to graze right behind the cabin. Drove out to Kinzua bridge but didn’t know they were doing work on it. Check website before making that drive. Not a total loss as we had a reservation to tour Straub brewery in St Mary’s that day. Saw elk and bobcat tracks at Beaver Run Pond as well as eagles nesting. The cabin is a great central location for a visit to the PA Wilds and I would return here without a second thought.

A piece of Heaven

The cabin was fantastic. The owner had the heat on at time of arrival. The entire experience was wonderful. Camp fire while deer were eating only a few yards away. We felt cozy nestled in the hills. Made breakfast both morning with plenty of kitchen utensils. Saw turkey, deer and elk. We will be back. Highly recommend. Thanks for a weekend of fun. Peg Liebel
