"The house itself was clean overall except some weird food remnants on the ceiling in the kitchen. However, the minute one opened the front door, the smell of stale cigarette smell smacks you in the face. We immediately contacted the owner who gave a slight refund. If this was not in such a rural area, we would not have stayed even as long as we did as we are non-smokers. "Lovely place to stay! The owners are fabulous and the surroundings (working vineyard & farm) are beautiful. Mine was only a one night stay but would love to revisit when I have more time. Hi speed internet worked great. Bed was amazingly comfortable & there was a kitchenette with table & chairs. Huge closet, full size fridge & microwave. The front porch is a delight. I was on a fast trip to look for horses in Bath, NC. It was well worth the 40 minute drive. Would have loved to ride the free...

"Place was a dump! Definitely not worth the hundreds a night it was!
The egg patties were hard, the gym is a storage unit and was unavailable. The room was dirty feeling. Got the suite with the room spa and the spa tub was gross! I had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean it myself and that didn’t even help much just made me feel a tiny bit better knowing I cleaned it!
There were young adult friends of the worker hanging out in the front lobby being loud! Maybe they lived there? The hall...
