"We had a wonderful weekend at the Alpaca farm. The eco-cabin is really comfortable and easy to feel at home in. The jacuzzi is really nice. The garden, the scenery and the animals are incredible: you feel like you've stepped out of time. The breakfast is very good, even if the time at which it is served is fixed (no change possible). "Our four night stay was lovely. The house is located in a beautiful valley with mountains to each side. Cows and sheep graze in the fields around the house. Thoroughly bucolic. The kitchen supplied everything needed. Our bed was comfortable. A bouquet of freshly picked flowers greeted us upon arrival. "We had a nice time in Takaka and exploring the area. Comfy beds and a good size place for a family holiday. The house and surrounding gardens needed a bit of TLC. It wasn't as clean as we would have hoped. Just needs a bit of a spruce - cobwebs definitely need to be swept away! Probably wouldn't choose to stay here again unfortunately."

"Looks great online but the reality was quite a disappointment. The cabin was not as well appointed as I had thought given the cost, all a bit cheap and plasticky. The floor was sort of buckled and uneven in places and as such the door was a challenge to close. The container got quite hot as the weather was so good, but there was no air conditioning and no fly screens, so opening the windows meant I had to contend with some big bugs late at night (moths and cicadas).
