"Breakfast was good. My biggest problem is that you find out about renovations after you have paid. There were ants mainly in the restroom and yes we informed the staff. They waited until 10 pm and asked if we wanted to change rooms or they can spray, but would have to leave room for 2 to 3 hours. Why not offer that service while we gone all day long. "

"We come to the area 3 times a year for a hockey tournament and this was the first at Tru. The parking was super convenient and always had available spots and was well lit. The room was very small which could be expected. The water pressure was very low so it was difficult to take a quick shower due to that. Fair selection for breakfast but were trying too much with eggs; scrambled eggs would have been fine. The staff always looked mad to be there and annoyed when I noticed some guests asking...

"The hotel is in a great location with a beautiful oceanfront view. The suite is really spacious and the separate bedrooms were perfect. Both had more than adequate storage, lighting tvs, and outlets/chargers. The balcony was private and very large that came with two chairs and a table. Breakfast was surprisingly good. It would have been nice if the serving time was longer (7:30-9:30) and the coffee machine allowed for bigger servings. The food was replenished promptly and the breakfast staff...

"Beach view is great no complaints Air conditioning was horrible room didn't get cool at all had to sleep with balcony door open (April) Staff was extremely rude after requesting towels multiple times and having to go get them myself house keeping showed up while I was in the shower banging on the door like they were the police mind you the beach was on lock down with a mandatory curfew due to the high crime going on in Virginia Beach I had to jump out of the shower with only a hand towel...

"Reasonable price. Wanted an ocean view. Had to wrap my neck around the balcony to find the ocean. No cups in the bathroom, no housekeeping unless you request and then one day didn’t come at all. No blanket on the bed. Bathtub was very deep. Could hardly get in there. Very slippery, needed a rubber bath mat. No restaurant in the hotel. Had to go elsewhere."
