Good location. House needs some maintenance on things like outlets, doors that lock, screens that stay on track and close. Dishwasher needs to be replaced as it is old and does not adequately clean dishes. As for cleanliness, high touch services were clean, but other areas of house need a good cleaning. Dirty doors and baseboards.

Stunning Views Amazing House

I could write pages and pages about everything I love about the location the views the home and the property owners! This is a vacation we will never forget! The property owners were amazing the house was amazing and very very clean everything you could possibly need or what was right there! Our family ages range from 7 years old to 77 years old and none of us have one complaint or one bad thing that we could possibly say. The worst part about renting this property is when it's time to leave!

Great trip

We loved stay at Sol Escape. Pool and hot tub were amazing. Beach views, awesome decks, short walk to the beach and house was very clean. Would definitely book again.

Sol escape.. paradise!

What a perfect home for our getaway!! Steps from the beach access; heavenly pool: great hot tub. About a mile to a grocery store! We enjoyed feeding the turtles over on the bridge. The Avon pier is a short walk away! Will stay again!!

GREAT PLACE

SOL ESCAPE IS PERFECT! A wonderful place to spend a few days with the family. Excellent location. Spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped house. Unbeatable beach, wonderful pool. Highly recommended. Suggestion: improve the TV connection.

The house had plenty of space for everyone. Great to have the pool downstairs. Lots of towels for the beach and pool, as well. Basketball hoop was great to have there along with the additional beach chairs.

Great home, location and amenities

Lovely home in a nice community at the beautiful outer banks. The home has all you need to be comfortable and enjoy your time away. Clean with comfortable beds, kitchen necessities, 2 fridges, washer/dryer, working grill, hot tub and pool. All very nice and enjoyable to use. Very short walk to lovely beach, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. Home has great views of the ocean even though it is not an ocean front home. There is a roof top level platform/bench for additional great views, especially of the stars at night. Excellent communication available with property manager. Highly recommend.

Weekend getaway!

The property itself is beautiful! Location was amazing!! Kate was very kind and responsive. Ocean view was spectacular. My family had a great time making memories! 1 recommendation I do have - since this is a pet friendly property... If you take your pet and that pet sheds a lot please vacuum after and empty the vacuum... the vacuum at the house - which is a Dyson was full of pet hair and we were not able to use it. (I was not about to empty it and inhale pet dandruff and hair) My husband swept every morning and night and would always get pet hair... The upstairs bed was full of pet hair. So please since the homeowner is kind enough to offer her house as pet friendly.. vacuum after yourselves and don't let your pets on the furniture. Thank you!

Perfect for family

We all loved this place. If ocean was too rough you could come back and swim in pool! And for the toddler Mom could put her for nap and sit at pool While she slept. Stairs were a bit exhausting but once you get home they make you want to work out still lol. Very clean and well taken care of. Short walk to beach

Beach Vacation 2023

This house is everything that you see in the pics. Loved the location, the pool and the set-up of the house. We really enjoyed our stay. Weather was fantastic. This is a dog- friendly house which makes it even better! Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Family and dog friendly OBX oasis!

Our family of 6 enjoyed a long weekend at Sol Escape and it was everything we could have wanted and then some! The house was super clean, the pool and hot tub are amazing, and the beach access was across just the street. So happy to find such a great a dog friendly rental in OBX. Our pooch enjoyed playing in the ocean waves and then coming home to relax and sunbathe on the top deck. Highly recommend this house!

Quiet and easy beach access

One of Avon’s Best

We’ve rented houses in the OBX for years and the accommodations at this property is the best. I can’t think of anything this house is missing. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, the house was complete with towels, sheets and bedding and the private pool was perfect! We spent hours enjoying the crow’s nest watching the ocean, the bay and the stars. You do have to cross a street and use an access to go to the beach. The sand dunes are high and navigating over them was impossible for me since I needed a knee replacement, so we walked a bit and found an access point complete with a wooden walkway and bridge to go over the sand dune. The house has a beautiful wraparound deck which we used to just relax and drink cocktails (we were all adults.) I can’t say enough good things about the management. I asked questions and received answers very quickly. They were very reachable. I would not hesitate to rent this house again when we visit the Outer Banks.

Location to the beach was great.

Good location, pool area was very nice. The only drawback was that the floors upstairs were not clean. We had to buy a swifter to mop the upstairs before we let the kids crawl around. The lights ere blinking in and off at random times as well.

This house was exactly what we were looking for. the amenities were the best of any house that I have stayed at. beds were super comfortable. my only comment would be that the kitchen utensils and tools were a little lacking. also need grill tools. otherwise it was a great stay and we would highly recommend the house

Great location and pool and comfortable bedsl!

Hubby and our dog enjoyed our visit very much. The house is across the street from beach access and very convenient to restaurants, coffee shop/bakery, Food Lion and other shops. Only 7 miles from the Cape Hatteras lighthouse and close to several ramps for driving on the beach in a 4x4; about 30 minutes to Hatteras Landing and the ferry to Ocracoke. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so we only used the pool once but it was wonderful and the hot tub looked nice but didn't use it. If you plan to cook, bring your own sharp knives. All the knives were very dull, probably because they get put in the dishwasher. I cooked a steak and made a salad the first night and could barely cut the vegetables and the steak. Also, there was only one kitchen towel so bring some extras. Looking forward to returning to this property again.

Great Vacation

Very nice property! Well managed and taken care of! Good location within close proximity to grocery store and some good restaurants! Easy and convenient public access to beach! The dogs enjoyed their first beach vacation as well! And the private heated pool and hot tub is a great asset!!! Enjoyed the stay and look forward to another visit soon!

Dual Family Vacation

I stayed at this property with 3 other adults and 4 kids under the age of 10. The property itself is very nice with quick access to the beach. You just have to walk a short distance, less than 5 minutes, to get to beach walk-up. You are able to see the ocean from the crow's nest. The kitchen is well stocked with most cookware and dishware that you would need to prepare a meal. The private pool and jacuzzi were great for the kids because they wanted to swim at all hours. The required cleaning wasn't excessive, which is a plus because no one wants to spend thousands of dollars and a cleaning fee to have to clean up the whole place before leaving. Taking out the trash, washing, drying, and folding all the towels, and loading the dishwasher were the main requirements. The code we were provided to access the property did not work when we initially arrived. The owner's were very quick to respond to text messages to reset the lock and provide us with a new entry code that we had no other trouble using during our stay. The only con I will mention about our stay had nothing to do with the property itself but with the location and access to restaurants. Due to Covid-19 staffing issues, eating at a restaurant was virtually impossible. Be prepared with groceries and the ability to prepare meals yourself, in the event that staffing continues to be an issue. We did greatly enjoy our stay and would choose this property again if we return to Avon.

Nice set up, but the host was way too stingy with basics like paper towels, trash bags, soap, etc. Made us feel like we were being nickle and dimed the whole way. Additionally, the property owner wanted guests to strip the beds, throw the laundry downstairs, take out the trash, and sweep up - which is a bit much when you're paying a large clean up fee and the maid is asking for a tip. Otherwise, the property itself was fine - close to the beach, nice bedding, and a decently stocked kitchen. Communication from "Kate" was prompt, if not always helpful.
