"Where do we start? We wanted something comfortable and peaceful for a short getaway and the Streamside Cottage was beyond our expectations! First off, it was very clean but also so cute and charming. Plenty of space for the two of us. Each morning, we had a peaceful breakfast on the deck and enjoyed the sounds of the creek. Kitchen provided everything we needed (loved that it had a toaster oven). Enjoyed some beautiful sights at Kaaterskill Falls hiking trail close by. Also, walked under a mile...

"Beautiful cabin in beautiful setting. Cabin was well furnished, had well stocked kitchen, and modern amenities. There were lots of attractions within 30 minute, scenic drives from the cabin such as Tanglewood, Monument Mountain, and other Berkshire and Columbia County attractions. Avid cyclists will find smooth roads with good shoulders and light traffic. As noted n another review, there is a rail line about one mile from the cabin, thus inevitable noise on occasion. "So comfortable and well-kept and cute! We wanted for nothing. We all enjoyed a magical night around the fire pit, with all the stars and fireflies out. It doesn’t get much better than this. We’d definitely love to come back sometime."

"We had an excellent stay at Herb Cottage. It was charming and homey. Check in was simple, guidelines clear. Lots of privacy which was great! I will say that although you could walk to downtown Woodstock, there are no sidewalks and I personally would not have felt safe walking down the road to town, especially since there is little shoulder."

The highlight was the view from the overlook -- breathtaking in the late spring and probably every season! Maureen is a perfect host -- precise directions and instructions, and a level of thoughtfulness that goes above and beyond. I look forward to staying there again! "
