Mountaintop Log Cabin-Extraordinary Views! Hot Tub-20 Minutes To Downtown AVL

This log cabin has it all! Awe-inspiring views from the cabin afforded by being near the top of the mountain. Minutes from a multitude of shopping and dining choices in convenient South Asheville, less than 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from Biltmore Park Mall, 15 minutes from Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. The cabin is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and lots of trees providing privacy between the houses which are spaced generously apart from one another. For hiking and nature enthusiasts, a 300 acre nature preserve with walking paths is literally steps away from the cabin. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as peace, relaxation and inspiring mountain views. Tony and I live 30 minutes north of this cabin so we are always available to address any questions or issues that may come up.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOUSE FOR A BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTY. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE AND WE CANNOT HOST GUESTS WITH A SIMILAR TYPE OF CELEBRATION PLANNED.

The wrap around deck overlooks the surrounding woods opening up to incredible valley and long range-mountain views. 6 person hot tub spa with lights situated on the deck for maximum viewing pleasure. The well-equipped kitchen with a center island has all the stainless steel modern appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker) and basic spices. One level living with 3 bedrooms: the master has a king size log bed, 43" flat screen TV and its own bathroom (bathrooms only have showers, no tubs). Another has a king size bed, and the third has two twin beds with the bathroom in between the 2 secondary bedrooms. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Only 100% cotton bed and bath linens are provided. The great room has comfy leather furniture, including a sofa and two reclining chairs, a gas stone fireplace, handmade, rustic tables and bench and a 50” flat screen with Netflix. The dining table seats eight comfortably and looks out towards the incredible view. There is a gas fireplace in the great room for those chilly nights and central A/C for those balmy mountain evenings. Charcoal grill, picnic table, high top bistro table, propane fire pit and two person log swing on the deck. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your pups -up to two for a $75 dog fee. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, the cabin has reliable WiFi and cell phone service at the cabin is reliable. All of our properties are dog friendly and have fenced in, secure areas for your pups!

Lively, downtown Asheville is 20 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. On the south edge of Asheville, you're minutes from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its many trail heads and spectacular views. Hendersonville Road has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the cabin. Biltmore Park outdoor mall has PF Changs, Luella's BBQ, Brixx Pizza and a number of other popular restaurants and shopping destinations as well as a 15 screen movie theatre. Biltmore Village and Estate is a short 15 minute drive. Hiking, rafting and zip lining is in all directions.
All roads to the cabin (including the driveway) are paved, however, they are somewhat steep. 4 wheel drive is not necessary unless it’s during one of our infrequent snow storms.

We stayed at the cabin for 5 days during New Years. It was excellent, everything from communication from the host to the cabin itself. No complaints, if you are in Asheville, you must rent this one. The view is to die for. Close to everything. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for a great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cabin. The cabin was absolutely immaculate, very comfortable and spacious.. The view from the deck was spectacular. We had our entire family and our puppy and everybody had a great time. We enjoyed hiking Pisgah national force and Cherokee national Forest. It was great to jump in the hot tub and enjoy the mountain views. Tony and Birgit were tremendous host. They had a bottle of wine and a big dog bone, waiting for us when we entered the cabin. So very thoughtful. I would highly recommend to stay at the beautiful cabin. Thanks for a wonderful stayWe enjoyed a memorable family vacation!

This was a perfect house for us to get away to. It's in a great location. The view is fabulous. You can watch the sun rise ever morning. The hosts has everything there you need. Lots of books. Which is perfect because i love to read. They also have games and puzzles. The kitchen is equipped with everything. Including a regular coffee pot and a pod. Everything was comfy and cozy. And we loved the deck with a firepit. The driveway is intially really steep but we got use to it

We had a fantastic vacation in this house with our little dog. Super clean, comfy bed, hot tub to relax in and everything we needed was provided, down to a welcome bottle of wine! The views are spectacular. Do make sure you get out on the deck to watch dawn breaking - it was breathtaking every single morning for us. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds from the deck and were thrilled at dusk to see small bats emerge and swoop and swirl whilst feeding right in front of us. What a treat! Lastly, the roads up to the house are steep and narrow, but we had no problems getting up there - we just took our time. Watch out for the wild turkeys which were strutting about in the neighborhood though. Likewise, we had no problems getting in and out of the house’s driveway. There was just enough room to turn our Rav 4 around by the house so didn’t need to back our car out. Thank you Birgit for such a lovely house and for your top notch communications with us. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to the Asheville area.

Excellent stay with wonderful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cabin is well-equipped. Has games, puzzles, and extensive library for any rainy days. Convenient to Biltmore, Omni Grove, Arts District, airport, and other key attractions. Recommend Hop-On, Hop-Off tour for good overview of Asheville. Encountered bears twice during two-week stay...once near cabin; no threat...just be smart. Drive to cabin is paved but can be a challenge with narrow roads, blind spots, and steep inclines. Price you pay to get the view!!

Million Dollar Views!

Location is perfect. Feeling of “getting away from it all” while still being close to grocery stores and downtown dining options.The pictures can’t capture how amazing the view is. We had a great stay. Owners were great to work with, and look forward to returning!Only note of warning: the road in and driveway are a bit steep in places so you are better off with an SUV or another vehicle with a bit of clearance. We had a small SUV and were fine though.

Wow! Even more stunning in person!

I initially booked this cabin because of the amazing mountain views, but the views were even more stunning in person! The description was accurate and cabin decor was super cute. The jacuzzi was easy to use and a pleasant way to end our evenings. The cabin was a little ways up the mountain, and driveway a tad steep going downhill, but it was an adventure and we got used to it after the first day. We had no issues during our stay and honestly wouldn’t change a thing. We hope to stay again one day!

I’m ready to stay again!

My family loved everything about this home! First of all, the views!! Getting to watch the sunrise on the deck, along with sitting on the deck, was my favorite part of the stay. The home was beautifully decorated, and we had everything we needed for a truly comfortable stay. We explored so much of the surrounding areas, including the Great Smoky Mountains, Pisgah National Forest, Biltmore, and downtown Asheville. This beach girl can’t wait to come back and would stay at this home again!

Amazing view from a fantastic house

My wife, two adult sons, and dog had a wonderful stay in this comfortable, well-appointed cabin. The owners were extremely responsive and welcoming. The view is not to be missed (pictures obviously can’t do it justice). We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

amazing views

We needed to be in Asheville to help our daughter move and had to bring our 2 largish dogs with us. I'm so glad we found this home. The view was amazing and it was so nice to have the dogs welcomed with a dog treat, water bowls and fenced yard. The last mile of the drive was scary in the dark for those of us from the lowcountry. It was better during the day. We did a walmart delivery while we there so the drive is not daunting to the locals-being so close to those conveniences was also a plus. The beds were incredibly comfortable as was the furniture. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for us all to cook together and we had fun playing games at the table. There was even a desk I could work at while being a part of what was going on. A bonus was that everything was accessible-even to the deck and hot tub. Just a few stairs. The owners responded promptly to our questions and were very thoughtful. Excellent stay. Thank you Birgit and Tony.

My family and I stayed here for thanksgiving week and our time at the cabin was absolutely amazing. Clean, cozy, relaxing, a breath of fresh air. The views, the hot tub, the peace and quiet, the cleanliness of the home. Absolutely perfect. I texted the host at one point and told her she would have to come drag me out because i did NOT want to leave. Tons of walking, hiking and biking trails close by. I love that you feel far enough away from civilization, but just a short drive down the hill and you have everything you need. The best vacation wver.

Lovely place!

The cabin is great with all the comforts of home. The place was immaculate with plenty of clean towels, dishes and cookware. The view is amazing! The road to the cabin is very steep and narrow, so I would definitely advise arriving during the day. There is a supermarket and several places to eat not far but you do have to drive. Overall, very nice!

THE VIEW!!!!!!! ❤️⛰️

We loved our stay in this home/cabin! Just wow - the view from the expansive deck! Everything was clean, comfy beds, anything we needed for the kitchen and cooking, and did I mention the VIEW! A bonus was it is three houses from great hiking right up the street! We always appreciate dog-friendly rentals. The communication with the owner was perfect from start to finish! We will be back for sure!

Lovely Location, Steep Climb

Lovely cabin with lovely view. It's quite the twisty drive up that mountain and a severe driveway, so if coming in winter you'd need 4wD. Deck has lovely sunrise view and we loved looking at the mountains from the hot tub. Cabin well stocked. Really no grounds, so only outdoor space is the deck but we had a lovely picnic on it. TV was signed in to tons of apps to keep the kids etc. entertained when through playing. Lovely cabin and view. No complaints.

Magnificent View!

This spacious cabin has the most magnificent view from the wall of windows in the living room as well as the deck. The deck wraps around 2 full sides of the house and includes the cozy hot tub. Well thought out gate design for the fenced yard and deck which allows pups to enjoy the space in safety. Clean, well equipped and A+ communication with host all appreciated.

My two sisters and I go on a weeklong vacation every year. We are all in our 70's. This was a wonderful log cabin all on a single level. It is tastefully decorated with a tough of humor. You can't get a more spectacular view. The landscape seems to be different every morning. Sometimes clear as a bell other times clouds have settled in all the valleys only to lift as the day warms. The drive up the mountain is a little precarious, but you quickly get used to it. The home is well stocked with all the amenities and seems to be only 20 minutes from almost everywhere you want to go.

Excellent Home + Great Location = Memorable Experience

Definitely would stay again. Beautiful and welcoming home/cabin. Location is perfect as it literally just a few minutes away from everything (grocery stores, restaurants, activities, etc.), yet in a very quiet "neighborhood". The home/cabin itself overlooks the mountains - - - incredible views from inside the home and the entire back porch. We witnessed the morning sunrise each of our three mornings of our stay. The side porch also has a hot tub which we took advantage of every evening to relax from a day filled with activities. The inside of the home/cabin is laid out perfectly with an open concept which encourages socialization of everyone. We enjoyed the large table for our morning breakfasts and evening dinners. The cabin has a nice "outdoor" feel - very well decorated. Extremely clean. Communication with the owners was perfect, which is always very much appreciated. This was the perfect lodging for our family which provided us countless memories. Thank you Birgit for opening your home to us, everything was wonderful. Scott and Jill
