HURRICANE UPDATE; Fortunately, this property was not damaged by Hurricane Helene. The roads are clear, potable water, electricity, and the internet have been restored. Downtown Asheville which is minutes away was not damaged either. Most of the shops, breweries, and restaurants there have reopened. The Biltmore reopened in November, and parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville are open. To encourage people to return to the mountains, a significant discount is being offered.

The house was wonderful. It was immaculate. The kitchen was fantastic. It was located near things we wanted to do. It was delightful sitting on the porch. The only problem was the road to get in and the parking. We are in our 80s and found turning the car around on the steep gravel road with the cliff on one side very difficult. Fortunately, our granddaughter came to stay with us. We used her car. Unfortunately, she had to leave a day early so we left when she did.

The property exceeded our expectations. The view is beautiful and we absolutely loved the deck. We even saw bears at a safe distance. The property has everything you could possibly need. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and the very nice furnishings. We went to the Grove Park Inn for dinner one night which was amazing and only 10 minutes away. You can also make in to downtown in 10 minutes. Probably my favorite thing about the property is the elevated deck. Itā€™s a beautiful place for sunrise and sunset. And it is up in the trees so I didnā€™t worry about the bears. We will definitely come back.

Great Location

We stayed two nights. Had never been to Asheville before. Location was perfect. With Mountain Viewā€™s comes mountain roads. Once you figure it out, it is not too bad. House was great for my wife, our 16 year old and me. Plenty of room to spread out. House was well finished, we did not cook, but everything you could need was there. Would stay here again.

The balcony is not safe. The parking is not good. Very steep and you need a 4x4.I have a therapy pet that Iā€™m legally allowed to bring and they did not allow the pet.The washing machine didnā€™t work.Someone elseā€™s clothes were in the closet.

Just a few miles from downtown Asheville, this 3 bedroom cabin was perfect for our adult family stay. The kitchen had a good selection of tools, the beds were all comfy, and the foggy view over the valley was beautiful.

Cabin in the mountains

We enjoyed our stay. The location close to the city, but tucked away in the mountains, allowed us to enjoy some time in nature with the attractions of Asheville a short drive away. The home was comfortable and well equipped for four adults. It seems like bear sightings are quite common and we ran across a bear on two separate occasions on the road a short distance from the house. If we ever come to the Asheville area again, we would be happy to stay here.

Roomy and nice location butā€¦

The house is spacious and in a nice location. If youā€™re interested in a rustic, somewhat dated cabin feel, then this house is a good option. Personally, I prefer a more updated look and feel, along with inviting well- maintained decks. We chose this place because of the view but thereā€™s only a small space where the mountain range is viewable and itā€™s beside a very prominent dead tree.

Nice hideaway

Best part is the view! So nice to sit on porch & relax! Had a good stay with everything we needed. Great location. Comfortable beds & bedding. Backing out of house a bit cumbersome like others have mentioned but made it work. Grant, the host, responds quickly & accompanied any needs we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house and view!

We live on the Outer Banks of NC and enjoy visiting Asheville several times a year and we always rent a home in the area for a week for our family. We've stayed in wonderful places but this haven in the mountains checks all the boxes! Nestled among the trees and the view is spectacular, close proximity to Asheville ($7 Uber ride), comfy beds, well equipped home, porches and wildlife! 2 bear sightings in the yard, a raccoon and beautiful birds! We will definitely come back!

Great for a family getaway

We had a great time! The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. As others have said, getting to the cabin and the parking is a little tricky, the parking spots are tight and steep. But I think thatā€™s to be expected with a cabin in the mountains. Itā€™s close to town but feels like youā€™re far away, itā€™s a very peaceful location.

Family Christmas Trip Asheville

Enjoyed the fact that we were so close to downtown Asheville but also in the mountains so it didnā€™t seem like we were in town. One of the better houses we have stayed in that has good amenities and beautiful views.

Breathtaking Views!

Stayed here three nights as part of a cross-country road trip. It was our favorite of all VRBOs on this trip. The views are divine! The house is large, comfortably furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen. Having the washer and dryer in the house was a real plus. With three adults (one couple), the layout allowed for privacy for the couple on the second floor and convenience for the single on the first floor. We found the driveway to be easily manageable with our SUV (not 4WD). Parking was easy and right at the house. We would love to stay at this rental again.

Beautiful stay in the mountains

We are four girlfriends on our 15th annual trip. The drive and scenery up to this mountain home amazing. Grant, the owner, was so responsive to any questions and concerns to make sure our stay in his home most enjoyable. Great views, clean, well kept

It was a good rental, clean, very friendly owner. Loved the views, the driveway is gravel and I would recommend a 4wd vehicle but not a big deal.
