"What a find! Motel Bear Lake was a last minute reservation for me. I got there late and the office was closed but I texted the number and immediately got a call back. "We loved our stay at the Coastal Inn! It is an older facility but kept up well, and just so quaint! We loved the location, walkable to so much in town. We stayed in the back with a view of the marsh and loved starting our day enjoying that view, seeing tons of wildlife, and listening to the birds and frogs. "The hotel is conveniently located 30 minutes away from Sleeping Bear Dunes, 40 minutes away from Traverse City, and only 10 minutes away from Frankfort if you're looking for good restaurants.
